I have a feeling Clare and Mackinaw City will take a while. All the locations that have been appearing suddenly have been hosted by Meijer, and there aren't any stores around those two cities so they'll need to negotiate with other business owners. Swartz Creek and Escanaba should be at Meijer so they may appear sooner.

I knew someone was going to call me out on that as soon as I hit Reply. I should clarify by saying the currently under construction locations, notably this one that was never on the 2017 list.

This is great news. Do you have an idea of when it will be up and running? My daughter and family live in Gaylord and we visit every Christmas time.

^ It appears that construction possibly began in the last week of September, so my guess would be completion around mid to late November. That would potentially include getting a sign off from Tesla to go live.

Perhaps you could ask your daughter to snap a few pictures from time to time and we can get closer to the pin by observing when key components are installed.

Thanks! I drove by there today and all Tesla equipment is installed. The key thing missing is the transformer from Consumers Energy - there is a cement pad for it adjacent to the pull-in charging stall.

If anyone is nearby, the transformer getting installed will be a sign that the last step (Tesla testing and sign off) is soon. The transformer will be placed where you see the gray PVC next to the pull in stall.

I left sault ste Marie Canada this morning and trying to get to Florida. Was hoping this would be open as I now carefully have to try to make bay city supercharger. I'll monitor my burn rate and adjust speed as needed. Still no transformer.

For alternatives, there are HPWC's at Boyne Mountain and Boyne Highlands resorts as well as at the Inn at Bay Harbor in Petosky that may be useful.

Also the Bay View Inn in Petoskey. I’m charging there right now on a destination charger. The staff is super friendly and it’s only $6 for non-guests to use the charger.
