Supercharger - Joplin, MO

I kind of got the impression that these chargers are for company cars, so plug share might not be a great idea.Maybe someone will add them to Plugshare.com. <hint><hint>
Used one of the Empire Electric chargers on Saturday, near 7th st. downtown. There was an electric or plug-in hybrid pickup belonging to Empire electric charging there.
Do let us know ASAP if you hear more about the possible location and timing of the Joplin SC.
At the charger on 7th I have never seen the empire car not there. I will update as soon as I have any news.
The Joplin Supercharger there is near completion and may be activated any day now! It is located near the Sam's Club and is visible from the road on Rangeline just North of I-44. This is great news! Mobe or anyone in the area, can you go by and get photos and check to see if they have activated yet?

Thanks. That's the site that was mentioned back in April. Good to hear it will be opening soon. I grew up in Joplin but it's been decades since I've been back. Now I'll be able to return...in a Tesla!
Holy Cow. I drive right past there every day. How did I not see this?

Fantastic update, Evan! Looks like the all the equipment (including transformer) is in place, so it should just be a matter of wiring it up and getting it tested. Fingers crossed!

John, you are good to go from Dayton to ABQ without Joplin. The supercharger in Springfield, MO is active at 3050 North Kentwood. It is only 170 miles from there to the Tulsa supercharger at the Hard Rock Casino in Catoosa.

Thanks. We did the trip in March of this year going thru Wichita. It will be another couple of years before we do it again - usually fly because of time constraints. Still dreaming about Dayton to ABQ via Montana with a return thru Dallas, Pensacola, Atlanta and DC. The last time I was in DeFuniak Springs there was one gas station. I was born in Raton, NM so I envy you living in The Land of Enchantment!
Was told by two sources that Joplin had been activated yesterday, but someone went by tonight and confirmed that the chargers are not lighted up and that access to the chargers is still blocked. So no luck yet. We'll need to keep an eye on it. Hoping they're not waiting to reopen the hotel.
