Supercharger - Southaven, MS

Tesla Find Us is now showing a supercharger under construction in Southaven, Mississippi, with a target opening of Q1 2023.

I don't believe it's reflected yet on supercharge.info.

This comes only a month after I suggested a Southaven supercharger on TMC to solve the problem of a lack of a Memphis-area supercharger convenient to I-55 -- not that I can take any credit for it!

Excited to see where they put it. I am guessing somewhere on Goodman Road.

We need more concrete evidence before adding an entry to supercharge.info. look for a permit, news article, or physical evidence of construction.

Okay, okay, you got me! Yeah, I realized as soon as I posted this that I shouldn’t have said “under construction.” Unfortunately the post disappeared (I guess because I’m a new user) and I thought it was deleted, so then I made another thread; thanks for cleaning up the duplication.

New supercharger almost ready at 150 Goodman Rd, Southaven, MS. Stalls are cabinets are installed. Fence is still up. 8 stall 250KwH.

Southaven, MS is on I-69, but I-69 currently is not built from near Houston, TX through Louisiana and Arkansas so the fastest route from Nacogdoches, TX (which will be on I-69) and Kuttawa, KY on I-69 goes through Brinkley, AR on I-40.

I do agree you need a threshold cut-off (and a consistent threshold), but this location is also 8.4 miles from US-61 and 7.9 miles from US-78... both which seem like a reasonable detour for a pit-stop

We’ll be passing through Memphis in a couple hours & it would be such a time saver to go here instead of having to go way out of our way to the other Supercharger.
