Supercharger - Sunnyvale, CA - El Camino Real (under construction, 12 V3 stalls)

I just saw what could be 2 V3 supercharger cabinets behind a construction fence in Sunnyvale, by the CVS at 576 E El Camino.
Not managed to find a current permit for the area, there was an old expired one, but that was for level 2 chargers.

Picture below, but it looks very like the cabinet in Tesla's documentation.

Almost next to the Tesla Sunnyvale Service Center. Lots of apartment buildings near there, so it should get a lot of traffic.

3 cabinets means 12 stalls. Someone with access to transformer installation requests says 1000kva going in here which means 12 stalls which fits with the cabinets you have spotted.

They were working on them today. The covers were off of all 12. No magic dock adapter In sight.

Magic docks are still being tested and evaluated. No reason to believe all new sites will have them. When they are ready for prime time, Tesla will make an announcement.

Those markings are frequently only placed in the accessible spaces, as they are part of the standards for those. Tesla usually just uses red signs to indicate whether spaces are reserved for charging only. So it's those signs (and very likely the utility transformer) that are left to be done here.

Still awaiting a utility transformer from PG&E. However the trash receptacles have been installed, on their very own concrete slab. There's a generous space next to the Tesla cabinets which could hold certainly one or perhaps two parking spaces, even after space is taken up by the transformer, but they're not striped as such.

Any news on this site? There are six cars waiting to charge at Bernardo, and charging is peaking at just 120 kW, which means charging is way slower than usual, too.

When it comes to PG&E, there is never any news until a crew shows up to install a transformer. Maybe some signs advising of upcoming work in a few days but that’s it.

Ima thinking ….. as we wait for a transformer (s)….. that Tesla is sending out crews to perform hardware switch outs, making each charging pedestal NACS -handshake/ capable so that when these stations go live, they will be available to any NACS vehicle regardless of maunfacture. also I believe, that Magic docks are dead, as they will no longer be needed.

Looks like utility transformer is incoming. There's also now a bobcat parked there.

I asked a guy working at the site if they had found a transformer in the hole they had dug. He laughed and explained that they were installing an underground power line. The transformer is not part of the current work, and it will be several months before that happens. The Ditch Witch device they were using is for hydraulic digging that doesn't damage existing utility lines.

Thanks for getting extra info! I'd be surprised if it is several months -- Grant Rd was waiting roughly the same amount of time and got a transformer in January. If the timing holds up it should be any day now.

Saratoga Ave was the same way. Took them ages to get power up on the site. A few weeks before it went live, there was a PG&E crew working underground about 1/2 mile away by the Westgate Mall. I wondered at the time if they were upgrading the power to the area for the Supercharger site.
