More Info: Supercharging.Life database

This is a friendly contest for Tesla owners to track the number of unique public Superchargers where they have charged

- "Supercharger count" is the number of unique public Superchargers where you have charged (just being there does not count), whether or not you were the person plugging in the vehicle (such as a Valet Parking garage or a Passenger) and whether or not it was your own personal vehicle (such as a rental, a loaner, or a friend's Tesla) as long as you were the one who drove >50% of the distance to reach the charger(s).
- The list of chargers in the supercharging.life database are the ones included in the game. If you think one should be added or removed from the list, let us know.
- Only chargers available to the public without special permission are included in the game.
- Chargers not connected to the grid are not counted.
- Doublet locations like the North/South Supercharger 'pairs' in CT, ME, NH, etc. count as individual locations.
- More than 1 charger at the same address, such as Lenox Square Mall (Atlanta, GA) or Montgomery Mall (Bethesda, MD) count as individual locations when they appear as a separate location on the Tesla Nav screen.
- Inactive competitors will be archived and removed from the leaderboard. Just post an update to be reactivated.

See Supercharging.Life database for info on how to post your own visits to the database (preferred), or post your locations with date visited to this thread and one of the admins will update your list for you. All visits must be posted to this thread - not just entered in supercharging.life. If you are the first in the game to visit a supercharger location, please post to the thread as soon as you can so others know it has been visited.

I've created a very crude list of folks from the game who are attending. I generated this list by combing through the SoS thread and this thread dating back to mid-April.

Anyone can edit this sheet, so feel free to modify as you see fit.
I see my name's already on the list. I will be departing DC on the 15th. Greensboro, NC-area superchargers will signify the start of the trip for me.

69 Tesla’s currently registered (120peeps). Around 35 are 1st timers.
Last time 2019 the top 10 leaderboard was all there....
NKYTA & I will be attending as well.
enjoy the ride!
Depending on attendance and planned routes of those approaching 600 in the list, I'm hoping to break into the top 10 between here and there assuming I don't run into any problems along the way that necessitate taking a more direct route.

Now I’m heading to the world famous Horseshoe Curve to do a little train spotting before heading back home.

I'm not sure if doing a 220-mile round-trip was worth it for just one Supercharger, but I know better than to seek advice from the people in this thread. :)

Thanks to whomever added that to the spreadsheet!

Bruce.
Don’t feel bad. I did 450 miles today for one Supercharger and I didn’t even get to see any trains. :( ;)

...First experience being routed on a 30+ mile gravel road between SCs -- on way to Kremmling from Glenwood Springs -- although it was scenic following the Colorado River through the foothills. But in honor of @Bighorn, we came across these bighorns on that leg.

Had planned to traverse Rocky Mtn Nat Park from Kremmling to Estes Park -- but the friendly nav computer didnt tell me Rt 34 was CLOSED due to snow at high elevation -- thus the southern swing to Idaho Springs which was a lovely old mining town. All good.

A bit late for a response but I've been routed on that (rather good) gravel county road between Glenwood Springs and Kremmling. On my latest visit to Kremmling I chose the somewhat longer — 26 miles — paved route via CO-134 over Gore Pass to get to Glenwood Springs. This road is also scenic and a fun drive. Since Nav won't suggest this route, you need to just drive it until Nav understands that you really mean it and won't be turning around.

As I've mentioned before, the roads leading to Craig and Kremmling are crazy dangerous for deer, especially from October to June. Try to drive those roads at midday if you can.

Travelers in Colorado can find road information at cotrip.org, including seasonally closed roads, such as Independence Pass (CO-82, near Aspen) and Trail Ridge Road, through Rocky Mountain National Park. Those roads are both over 12,000 feet and only open in summer. The real advantage of cotrip.org is the many webcams that show road conditions — a big help when checking for snow on mountain passes.

And, my own picture of bighorns:

Bighorm rams at Ouray Cemetery2405sf 3-29-21.jpg

^ Bighorn rams grazing at the Ouray cemetery, 3-29-21. I often see ewes in Ouray but I'm told the "boys" like to hang out at the cemetery, a few miles north. Unlike deer and elk, which try to stay away from cars, bighorns on the road can't be bothered to move. Your choice is to wait them out or go around. They often come down from the mountains in winter to lick salt off of the road and to graze on exposed roadside grasses. I once saw a ram licking salt off of the rumble strip in the center of a narrow section of the Million Dollar Highway (US 550 between Ouray and Red Mountain Pass) — no place to pull over, so no picture.

Reminds me of the signs to not let the moose lick you cars, for the salt.

(with a shout out to the Bighorn sheep)

Would be nice to fill in all the centuries before SoS. 1000 would be a tough one.
Top 5 all occupy their own century currently, but I think that may change by SoS.
A lot of slackers hanging out in the 400s - they need to step it up. ;)

Sorry I can’t help with 800 or above. With a little weekend cleanup and the trip to Custer, 700 should be well in hand. Alas, work will Summon my wife’s 3 back to the Bay before I can likely catch Darren.

Outside of metro areas, the West (and specifically routes to and from Custer) can be an SC desert.

For @Randy Spencer and to a smaller degree @bmah, the Bay Area is clearly a dessert.

Hoping for lots of elbow bumps from all you nutjob travelers at Custer! 😉

Bishop what the hard one for me. Especially since Google Maps showed the passes were clear so I kept having to try the next pass and the next pass north until I think it was 80 that I went over on...
Oh man... You definitely should have asked us! Between me and cpa, we could have set you straight.

I just did that one and I don't recall google maps being wrong.

On a whim, I did a 690 mile loop yesterday to pickup 5 sites, including one that I believe is a first for the competition. The new Joplin site opened only a few days ago.

2021-05-02:
Joplin - S Main St, MO
Lowell, AR
Ozark, AR
Van Buren, AR
Catoosa, OK

Edit: looking at the recent updates, looks like I got a tie with @IdaX on the first at the new Joplin site.

I called Tesla and they blamed Google, and I checked the Google maps the next morning and they were updated for all the pass closures that were closed when I got to them.

Not sure what you and CPA could have told me about, is it to not trust the car's Nav? I have not been burned before that.

How does one go about being part of this competition?
I've charged at 186 unique superchargers since we bought our first Tesla in August, 2016.
Is there some place I should enter my history/data?
Below is my history, copied from a spreadsheet I keep. Should I just attach the spreadsheet?
We plan to hit the road again after hardly traveling for over a year.

Your post is sufficient to become part of the competition. I'll set up your initial entries and check with one of the other Admins about giving you access to the Google Sheet to do your own entries in the future. Welcome to the competition!
