**** NOTE: We have transitioned to a new platform ****
More Info: Supercharging.Life database

This is a friendly contest for Tesla owners to track the number of unique public Superchargers where they have charged

- "Supercharger count" is the number of unique public Superchargers where you have charged (just being there does not count), whether or not you were the person plugging in the vehicle (such as a Valet Parking garage or a Passenger) and whether or not it was your own personal vehicle (such as a rental, a loaner, or a friend's Tesla) as long as you were the one who drove >50% of the distance to reach the charger(s).
- The list of chargers in the supercharging.life database are the ones included in the game. If you think one should be added or removed from the list, let us know.
- Only chargers available to the public without special permission are included in the game.
- Chargers not connected to the grid are not counted.
- Doublet locations like the North/South Supercharger 'pairs' in CT, ME, NH, etc. count as individual locations.
- More than 1 charger at the same address, such as Lenox Square Mall (Atlanta, GA) or Montgomery Mall (Bethesda, MD) count as individual locations when they appear as a separate location on the Tesla Nav screen.
- Inactive competitors will be archived and removed from the leaderboard. Just post an update to be reactivated.

See Supercharging.Life database for info on how to post your own visits to the database (preferred), or post your locations with date visited to this thread and one of the admins will update your list for you. All visits must be posted to this thread - not just entered in supercharging.life. If you are the first in the game to visit a supercharger location, please post to the thread as soon as you can so others know it has been visited.

Wow, supercharging.life makes this stuff a lot easier!

I felt left out not doing any Supercharger hunting for over a month, but I had to drive for a couple hours to get to someplace new-to-me. I know that's "just down the street" for some of you. ;)

Check-ins for 2022-07-23

Is there a Way back machine for tracking this? Have to think I came close in the 30k+ miles I did between April 20 and June 22. I know I was down to one remaining in Canada and Salt Lake was the only target in the country that I skipped.
@Bighorn got my brain going with this little grenade. After much flailing, I think I have a solution that also improved our Leaderboard.

I would appreciate you testing out the "Wayback Tool" to if it gives provides the results you expect. Set all three date fields to the date you want to revisit. There is a states cleared map and a map of all of your visits below that as of the time you set. At the bottom is a list of now-closed superchargers that were open at the time you selected. For example, on 8/21/2019, it appears you got down to just two unvisited superchargers in the USA and Canada! Does that seem right?

All - check out the improved Leaderboard. You can set the date to any point in the game's history and see the leaderboard as of that date. Just drag the slider to the date you want to see. All other filters continue to work too.

That’s awesome. I put in 5/20/22 which was when I finished my loop before Custer. Looks like it shows 6 states and provinces with unvisited chargers.

I do recollect getting down to a single charger on a couple occasions, one of those being in Ohio, but I don’t remember details. That could be your 2019 example where perhaps the daily granularity might have been one off? Curiously, that map you printed doesn’t change for me going all the way back to 5/1/19.

There appear to be glitches in @PLUS EV ’s status as of today as viewed through the Wayback screen.

Yeah as far as I know, I have cleared TN and OH.

Also, I later had a recollection that you got down to 12 before Custer and I got down to 24 when I cleared the rest of the country after Custer. Neither of those are impressive numbers relative to previous years, but there were a lot of openings at the time so there's really not much you can do about that.

I know I was down to single digits in April 2021, but I don't recall the exact number. Probably in the 6-8 range. I'm not sure if I ever had a lower number than that in earlier years. I'd guess not. Or if I did, it wasn't much lower than that.

I've concluded that to actually have a realistic chance at clearing the US and Canada, you need to have cleared the continent recently (within the last 3 months), then clear it again (probably around 50 new ones will have opened since you last cleared it), and then you need to double-back (triple-back?) and chase after the ones that just opened. Plus you would need a lot of luck of course :) You could improve your chances, by flying to specific spots and borrowing Teslas from TMC members to accomplish the last step. I doubt I will ever do it, but would be kind of fun to try. Maybe if there were a badge...

This “wayback tool” might answer the question I had a while ago. I wanted to know the highest I ever obtained on the leaderboard. In @theflyer’s example for 06/06/2014 I’m #11. I remembered #17 or #18 being my highest. Then I realized this date is before I joined the competition.

Hmmm. More work to do. It is ridiculously hard to make Tableau do this.

Holy smokes, when I was in college I was at USC (socal) and went home to DC every summer, so I got pretty used to driving across country, probably did it 7 times, and I did it round trip on a motorcycle when I worked for Lucas and in a Cessna when I worked for Living Books, basically none of my friends have done it (maybe once) and we are all getting to 60. I felt pretty comfortable with the idea of driving Xcountry when I got my Tesla and when I followed in yourall's footsteps, but DANG I can't imagine being at leadership level (not even in the top 20 anymore).

I guess more work to do. I didn't expect the leaderboard wayback to not work.

I'm not so sure. Your last visit April 2021 was on 4/23. Here are the superchargers that were open then and you visited afterwards.

That’s awesome. I put in 5/20/22 which was when I finished my loop before Custer. Looks like it shows 6 states and provinces with unvisited chargers.
I show 13 states and provinces on 5/20:

Oh right. I forgot that I wasn't allowed back into Canada until August. I guess I was only down to single digits in the US. It would have been roughly April 10th. Easiest way to look at it would be to see my last check in before I got home. I think I went to California last. According to your data, that wouldn't get me down to single digits though. Maybe like a dozen or so. I'll try to do better this time!

As one more piece of the strategy, I would probably evaluate all of the known locations that are under construction for how potentially close they are to opening. I would then try to order them by best-guess opening date and try to visit those states last (or as late in the trip as possible). This wouldn't be foolproof, but might help improve the odds of not having an opening right after passing through the area. Then adapt as the trip unfolds. Like PLUS EV said, you'd have to clear as many as you could and then continue chasing the ones that pop up.

This “wayback tool” might answer the question I had a while ago. I wanted to know the highest I ever obtained on the leaderboard. In @theflyer’s example for 06/06/2014 I’m #11. I remembered #17 or #18 being my highest. Then I realized this date is before I joined the competition.
@AzEd, can you check your data? The Horse Race chart (see below for your charging history highlighted) and your competitor page on Supercharging.Life shows your first charge occurring on 4/21/2014 when there were very few competitors. This data indicates that the Leaderboard wayback was right. If you did not begin supercharging in 2014, can you work with @tes-s to get that cleaned up? When do you recall joining the game?
