This is a friendly contest for Tesla owners to track the number of unique public Superchargers where they have charged

- "Supercharger count" is the number of unique public Superchargers where you have charged (just being there does not count), whether or not you were the person plugging in the vehicle (such as a Valet Parking garage or a Passenger) and whether or not it was your own personal vehicle (such as a rental, a loaner, or a friend's Tesla) as long as you were the one who drove >50% of the distance to reach the charger(s).
- The list of chargers in the supercharging.life database are the ones included in the game. If you think one should be added or removed from the list, let us know.
- Only chargers available to the public without special permission are included in the game.
- Chargers not connected to the grid are not counted.
- Doublet locations like the North/South Supercharger 'pairs' in CT, ME, NH, etc. count as individual locations.
- More than 1 charger at the same address, such as Lenox Square Mall (Atlanta, GA) or Montgomery Mall (Bethesda, MD) count as individual locations when they appear as a separate location on the Tesla Nav screen.
- Inactive competitors will be archived and removed from the leaderboard. Just post an update to be reactivated.

Well, times have changed.
Back in 2013 my closest supercharger was about 90 minutes away so I think it took me a week or two to test the legs on the car from just my daily commute. Newark DE, even though it's just a highway rest stop, will always have a fond place in my heart.

Almost exactly the same for me. Same first supercharger, too. Picked up the car in Rockville 9/6/13, drove to Philly with a stop in Newark 9/21/13.

Then my first NON-supercharger overnight Tesla trip was to Pittsburgh on 9/30/13. That was an adventure!

You probably hear more anecdotes about crimes against Teslas in the Bay Area because there are just so damn many of them here. I don't feel like I live in a particularly high-crime area, although some parts of the Bay Area are "safer" than others.

If you can leave your trunk empty and the cargo cover open (or put away), that makes your car a less attractive target.

If you can Supercharger hunt at night, you don't have to worry about leaving your car unattended at night. There'll generally be less traffic as well (although high-impact road maintenance will happen off-hours).

The problem with the Model S break-ins is that if I am on a road trip I can't leave my trunk empty. I have everything from clothes to food to camping gear with me. Doing a road trip in an empty car is not practical. Not that any of my stuff is the least bit attractive, but I don't know what the thieves will want to steal. I could leave the trunk cover at home, I suppose.

Wow it didn't take very long for the bug to bite you. We should add that metric to the contest - how long to get to your first supercharger after taking delivery.

As long as it took me to drive from the factory in Fremont to Gilroy. Maybe 50 minutes?

Six days.

My car was delivered to the tiny town nearest my house — I had Tesla's delivery contractor drop it in the public library dirt parking lot, because it was big enough for a semi and huge trailer to turn around, and a neighbor took me down to pick it up. It was the first time I had ever sat in a Tesla. At the time the nearest Supercharger Station was 95 miles away and I visited it six days later on my first road trip. Now the nearest Supercharger Station is a mere 30 miles away. Progress.

It took me 15 days from when I picked up my Model S (3/8/2013) until I used my first Supercharger at Newark, DE on 3/23/2013. Newark is 103 miles from my home - we did a special trip just to use the Supercharger.

At that time, the only two Supercharger locations in the North East were Newark, DE and Milford, CT. Milford is 132 miles from home. We didn't visit it until Oct 2013 when we did an epic day trip to Boston.

If we are talking first Supercharging, that would be the April Fools day trip in 2013 where we hit Gilroy, Harris Ranch (Roadster connector, so slow), Tejon Ranch, Barstow and the HPWC at the relatively new Aria Casino.

Yea, we're still "officially" not pet friendly but we've gotten a little more liberal for friends and family. I'd say it's nearly an even split between people that ask to stay with pets and people that have allergies and have to avoid pet hair.

1 minute. Picked up my first Tesla in 2015 (2013 Model S P85 CPO) in Highland Park, IL which also had a 4 stall SC installation on site. Even though the battery was delivered at almost 90%, I plugged it in just to see how it worked. Literally had my first SC session before I even drove off the lot.

Oddly I was 24 yards from the factory Supercharger the day we got our cars (wonder what happened to that shirt) but I didn't Supercharge for the first 4 days and although I spent the first few months going on all sorts of road trips, as Bruce will attest, it's hard to get out of California (Man, look at that keyring I used to carry everywhere, now I just have the Tesla open the garage, and I really don't drive anything else)

So my first Interstate trip was almost two months later when I drove to CO to get my first star on my windshield. I didn't realize others were running from charger to charger until a year later when I first posted here.

But, no I don't get what the new badge is, so when you are done tallying who gets it, please inform the rest of us.
