More Info: Supercharging.Life database

This is a friendly contest for Tesla owners to track the number of unique public Superchargers where they have charged

- "Supercharger count" is the number of unique public Superchargers where you have charged (just being there does not count), whether or not you were the person plugging in the vehicle (such as a Valet Parking garage or a Passenger) and whether or not it was your own personal vehicle (such as a rental, a loaner, or a friend's Tesla) as long as you were the one who drove >50% of the distance to reach the charger(s).
- The list of chargers in the supercharging.life database are the ones included in the game. If you think one should be added or removed from the list, let us know.
- Only chargers available to the public without special permission are included in the game.
- Chargers not connected to the grid are not counted.
- Doublet locations like the North/South Supercharger 'pairs' in CT, ME, NH, etc. count as individual locations.
- More than 1 charger at the same address, such as Lenox Square Mall (Atlanta, GA) or Montgomery Mall (Bethesda, MD) count as individual locations when they appear as a separate location on the Tesla Nav screen.
- Inactive competitors will be archived and removed from the leaderboard. Just post an update to be reactivated.

See Supercharging.Life database for info on how to post your own visits to the database (preferred), or post your locations with date visited to this thread and one of the admins will update your list for you. All visits must be posted to this thread - not just entered in supercharging.life. If you are the first in the game to visit a supercharger location, please post to the thread as soon as you can so others know it has been visited.

Lenox to Rotterdam to St Johnsbury? Is that the actual order of those stops? Can’t wait to see what comes next. Oh to be back on the road!
Yeah St. Johnsbury and Potsdam were a real PITA! There was no easy way to get them. I decided to do them in this order because I thought the route across the top of Lake Champlain looked fun and it was an area I'd never been to before, at least not on this side of the border.

My plan somewhat backfired when I started running behind (mostly due to some holiday traffic) and therefore it got dark on me while I was charging at St. Johnsbury. Still, it was a beautiful drive on the way there along I-91 in Northern Vermont. There isn't much in the way of civilization in that area, but the scenery is great.

Anyways, I ended up doing the St. Johnsbury to Potsdam drive after dark and the Nav routed me on about a dozen miles of gravel road. I passed a sign that said something like "STOP TURN AROUND YOUR GPS IS WRONG," but I kept going anyway lol. It would have been super inconvenient to turn around as I likely would have had to back track all the way to the supercharger and start over with a different route costing me hours. I believe most of the concern was about winter driving conditions which obviously weren't in play today. I could imagine the road being difficult to drive in heavy rain as well, but that was not the case today either. I wasn't happy about being on a dirt road in the middle of nowhere with no cell service, but as long as you drove slowly, the road was rutted, but okay. I've said this before but I wish there was a way to select "paved roads only" on both Google Maps and the Tesla Nav. I wouldn't mind so much driving around at home locally, but when I'm far from home and trying to drive 700 miles/day, I'd rather avoid roads like that.

Then about an hour later, I happened upon a bad accident and got there just in time for the authorities to shut down the road on me. So a slight backtrack and some handiwork with the Nav and I was back on my way. Apparently it was a head on collision with both of the cars being engulfed in flames so I'm glad I didn't drive down that road much sooner than I did!

FWIW, it would have been about an hour faster to hit St. Johnsbury between the Maine and New Hampshire superchargers and then do Potsdam as an out and back from Syracuse, but that route seemed kind of boring so I went with my more circuitous path.

Oh and to provide more context, I spent the night in Lenox, then charged in Rotterdam, Brattleboro, St. Johnsbury, and Potsdam where I'm staying the night now. For my posts, I'm sticking with the convention of posting by calendar day which usually doesn't line up with my actual driving day since I typically am driving until after midnight. Brattleboro was a previously visited supercharger for me which is why I didn't post it.

Finally back from my Custer trip. It was weird being in 85 degree whether in Nebraska earlier this week, and returning to rain and 55 degree temp in North Carolina.

When I put the new chargers I needed to hit in the Tesla Nav, it thought I could make home with just those. It had me doing a deep charge at Crossville- Genesis Rd and getting to Asheville with 10%. I decided to not charge deep and stopped in Knoxville, too. Glad I did because the estimate eventually dropped about 10% while going through the Pigeon River Gorge.

Here's to the land of the long leaf pine,
The summer land where the sun doth shine,
Where the weak grow strong and the strong grow great,
Here's to "Down Home," the Old North State!

Hence the old Yankee Farmers reply, “can’t get there from here”! The Adirondacks and the Green Mountains were my refuge from big city Buffalo as a teen 50 years ago. Don’t get there often enough now a days so I really enjoyed this description of the area! If anybody had told me 50 years ago that anyone would be driving a route like yours in the SC hunt and that all of us watching on hand held computers would think it normal, I would have said no-way! But here we are! Electric endurance road-trips!

You going to see the Haskell library and Opera House in Derby Line? It’s right down your Geographical Landmark interest.
I stopped by the Haskell Library on a drive from Ottawa to Lincoln NH in August 2019, having recently charged at Magog. (St J wasn't open yet, it would have simplified matters.) For those who don't know, the Library sits on the US/Canada border, with the main entrance in Derby Line VT and the stacks in Quebec. Ever since 2000, the border patrol has monitored for illegal crossings with cameras & personnel - there was a Border Patrol SUV watching me as I took my pictures. When I got back in my car he drove away.

Correct, @David99, as normally Tioga Pass is open by now but the heavier-than-usual snowpack this past Winter has caused it to still be closed. @cpa can probably give some great details about that area.
All mountain passes are still closed with the exception of SR89 (Monitor Pass) that starts at its junction with US395 just south of the Nevada line. But SR4 (Ebbets Pass) is still closed, so you are forced to remain on 89 through Markleeville to Woodfords (junction with SR88). SR88 is open year 'round except for occasional closures around Kirkwood/Carson Pass when they shut down the road for various reasons.

Caltrans reached the summit of Sonora Pass, SR108, from the east on Friday last. The eastward push from Tuolumne County was still about four miles shy as of Friday. Then there is a bunch of evaluation, repair, and clearing of debris before they declare it open.

Darren, the Park Service and CalTrans strive to have Tioga Road open in time for Memorial Day. But more often than not, it gets delayed by a week or two in normal winters. Currently CalTrans is closing in on the summit at the park boundary, but the Park Service has a nasty stretch east of White Wolf. Then factor in that many of the creeks are quite swollen right about now, the road can become dangerous for auto traffic. With temps cooler than normal here in the valley, the high country still will be seeing freezing temps (albeit for only a few hours) overnight. Best guess is in time for the Fourth.

Trying to plan by northern California trip and I thought I can go across the mountains somehow. But look S like there is no road. I have a few unvisited stations on both sides 😫

David, those mountain passes really won't help you even if they were open. I peeked at your map. You can easily obtain Bishop, Mammoth Lakes, and Topaz Lake (Gardnerville). Then depending upon your timetable, you can head across to Cameron Park, then south on 49 to Copperopolis, El Portal, Mariposa, Oakhurst, and Chowchilla. (Remember there is a $35 entry fee into Yosemite, so it might be more prudent to head to Oakhurst on 49 rather than through the park.)

That will take care of those that are on either side of the Sierra Nevada. Whether you wish to explore those around Reno or the Bay Area, that is beyond the scope of my suggestions.

You can easily reach Minden, Nevada from home in one long day. The Carson Valley Inn and Casino in Minden has a bunch of destination chargers in the northeast corner of their vast parking lot, and it so far away from anything, you could grab forty winks while grabbing some free juice overnight. I think they deliver 64 amps (I have dual chargers in my 85, so can utilize all 64.)

Send me a note if you need more clarification!
