Sweet sweet revenge at the Oxnard Tesla Supercharger today.

Today after getting my S XPEL wrapped by Colbern’s detailing I needed to charge to get back up to SLO. So I headed over to the Oxnard Superchargers. When I pulled up I see this big red diesel truck that had apparently tried to make some ridiculous statement by blocking in 3 charging stations. What he didn’t figure was that a model 3 would wedge him in and then a tow truck would show up and block him in until the flatbed arrived to tow his ass. While I charged I snapped a few photos. One of the times he yells at me “why are you taking pics?” I yelled back “you wanted to be famous right?”....this guy was a walking stereotype too. His wife and kids just stood around with sheepish looks on their faces. Made my day!!!

Damn, that's awesome. What time did that happen? Was over at Gen Korean, but, would have swung by to watch that drama unfold.
Right around noon. When I arrived he was already blocked in. I imagine there was more drama before that I missed out 0n. He was looking resigned to getting towed by time the flatbed arrived. They pulled him out with the tow truck and were about to flatbed the truck as I took off.

I must be naive, but is this really a thing—people blocking charging stations intentionally?!

This is definitely a thing. First time I've heard of it in southern California, though. Usually happens quite often in the Midwest...

Although, in SoCal, we usually get "ICE'd" by other Tesla drivers that use charging spots as parking spots (not necessary Supercharging). Have seen some of the other J1772 chargers at the Collection being blocked by Tesla owners that don't plug in to charge. Or, even if they do, it sucks for the other not Tesla vehicles that need it (as a former XC90 T8 owner, I would hate seeing a Tesla parked in a regular charging spot knowing that the Supercharger was at the end of the parking lot).

Glad you are happy with your Xpel PPF Wrap and hope you made it safely back up to SLO!
Simply amazing how good the car looks! You underpromised and overdelivered. Thanks for working with my schedule to make this happen.

He may have just broke down there, and called the tow truck himself. Hence the why are you taking pics comment. It would require the owner of the property to tow the truck. Looks like a shopping ctr where the owner if not usually around.
You’re kidding right? So a dude with two full sleeved tats. A flat-brimmed
cap, a Duck Dynasty beard just happens to break down in a 5000 car parking lot and chose to wedge his car against a giant sign post at one of the most busy Superchargers in the country and you think this was a guy that “may have just broke down there”? If you seriously think this is even a remote possibility, call me about a bridge I have for sale ASAP!

Convenient spot to get broken down in when there are tons of other open spots (non charging) right next to the Supercharger.

Also, the Collection is patrolled by 24/7 security that regularly make rounds (multiple security vehicles and on foot), and the Oxnard Police Department has a storefront not too far from the chargers in the Collection.

The odd thing is that if he were just willing to drive over the curb he head plenty of space to drive on out of there even with the tow truck blocking him.

Do you think there's a chance that he was just broken down and waiting for a tow?

Edit: Ahh but I didn't see the second picture. Awesome!!!
