In light of this I think a change in thread title is in order. Could the Mods please change the title of this thread from 'Tesla in Australia?' to 'Tesla in Australia'

Wonderful event! Was absolutely terrific to be one of the first to receive his car. Couldn't stop smiling for the duration. Car has been set up like my own and it just feels like mine. Will be getting my final car on December 29. First operating supercharger in Australia is set up and working at the Star Casino/event centre. Was taken to see the units all 5 of them. Free for Tesla owners including access to the parking garage.
It was great to finally meet a lot of you.Great night and was so fantastic to meet many of you. Had a bit too much to drink but oh well! Totally worth the trip.
One of the things they will be doing is building a large solar farm, which they will use to make themselves energy neutral including the superchargers.
Was there any word out for Tesla about this?
Did anyone see the sensationalist news.com.au article?
Tesla electric car saps too much power from Australian energy grids.
Lots of misinformation posted there.
I bet that one has comments disabled as well...It is a rehash of a Sun Herald article that was put up last night whilst we were at the event. Speculate away as to the interested parties that would like to spread such rumours....

Not just misinformation, complete fabrications. Only one dedicated charger installed in Australia? Everyone who received their car last night has one. Everyone receiving cars this month has one. Probably most confirmed orders has one. Only one supercharger? Actually, two, at the service centre and at the Star. And that is just for starters.Did anyone see the sensationalist news.com.au article?

As heosat pointed out to me on twitter, Simon hackett has talked with Joshua and will show him where he's wrong.News Corp's national motoring editor Joshua Dowling (the author of the article which has now been printed in News Corp papers all over the country) must really have it in for Tesla. To embarrass himself with such complete falsehoods he must really have an agenda he is pursuing with vigour.
Its so like a Murdoch 'reporter' to not allow facts to get in the way of a good story.Did anyone see the sensationalist news.com.au article?
