no labor performed? is labor listed under some different line item? Here is the work order. I have an MCU1/AP2.5.

they will absolutely replace both of the displays. Not sure I understand -- there is only one display (the big one) being replaced, right? I did not ask if I can keep the old MCU -- it's not very easy these days via the app (no chance of talking to someone). I'll try to ask via text, though...
I believe everything is included in the $2500 (Parts + Labor).no labor performed? is labor listed under some different line item?

Everything is part of two SKUs.Are you saying that the display on a MCU1 isn't compatible with a MCU2? (It would be extra labor but it would save on parts.)
so one line item stating MCU upgrade,
and one line item for MCU Intel HW3 upgrade, and all of the parts and work that includes,
yet they have a line for 4 hex nuts.
Well, it depends. The screen itself IS compatible, but the touscreen - may not be. there are two types in use, cypress and maxtouch. maxtouch is same that's used in mcu2 and was in use at least since 2017, cypress prior to then and is not compatible (or at least did not work when I tried it)Are you saying that the display on a MCU1 isn't compatible with a MCU2? I don't think IC screen could be easily replaced so it would be full IC unit swap for sure.
All in (parts and labor) price of $2500 plus about $150 in tax. Just got a text from virtual service that there will be a core charge of $1000 to take home the old MCU.
while theoretically possible, I doubt this is something they can do at a service center. They can certainly send it for rework to come back as IC2 at a later date.I figured that they could replace the logic board to turn it into a slave display cheaper than replacing the whole thing.
I assume it is a package deal at $2,500 including parts and labor, so they put it is as no labor performed to prevent double charging.
