1) is June 'Performance minus upgrade' Version the same as the July LR AWD in every way ...
2) Do i get homelink as it was part of premium when i ordered
3) Do i get the $889 reduced price

obviously #2 & #3 above kind of go against each other - but i'll see what they say, no harm in asking.

Wondering whether to save $3k on drive away and go for white now - choices choices !!

At least it'll be easier taking to the insurance company about a 'long range all wheel drive' instead of the 'Performance minus the upgrade'

As for your 1st question the specs say no. 0-100 is 3.4s for the P-lite 4.6s for the LR AWD. We all know it is just software and maybe motor binning - but it is a real world difference that they have to provide with the P-lite as ordered

Model s and X custom orders September too. I have a horrible feeling we are not going to see any boats from here until then, including for Model 3s. :S

Anyone have different info? Would love for my pessimism to be displaced.

Call your delivery specialist and ask if your model 3 is on a boat yet, and if not when approximately it is likely to be. If you keep the language broad and vague, and don’t press for precise answers, you should receive sufficient information to either boost or remove your pessimism. Best not ask which boat either as you wont get that info.

Personally I'm going to stick with my Pearl white Model 3 Perf (non+), while I could save about $3k and add some range, I drop the amazing 3.4s 0-100km/hr and the August delivery date.

I’m sticking with my peal white too! Still think performance lite was a good deal especially now because I ordered before the yearly subscription thing came in. Some of these recent changes could be to entice people to re configure under new changes and forego what was originally included in premium and contract

I had a quick look and what it looks like they have done is, They have kept the price of P- and are selling the LR RWD with that same price. They have removed finally Internet Browser from the Interior page for Premium Interior models. They have moved Pearl-White to be the first and free colour and added small fee for Black. They have changed the P model to be performance package inclusive and added the white interior option for the P model only.
Now the strange difference between the P and AWD model specs though is the NEDC range for P is 560km but AWD has 620km. Seems a bit bigger difference than expected unless the AWD is getting a battery upgrade?

The km range listed on the Australian Tesla Model 3 website are not real world estimates.

Tesla has a chart in it's support pages showing estimated real world ranges.

This range increase seems unlikely , but that’s what it says
Now on the website.
Has anyone had this increase confirmed?

Thinking the range might be more important to me than the extra 0-100km acceleration in performance lite.

Hi, that chart is just the newer synthetic test - Worldwide Harmonised Light Vehicle Test Procedure - that in some jurisdictions replaces EPA or NEDC. It is not real world. It is an attempt to be more relevant but look at the test yourself and see if you actually drive like that.

While you are online check out EPA and WLTP figures on the other Tesla international sites. Both differences are much smaller (EPA is 0, WLTP is 30). NEDC is from the 1980s and is not very relevant anymore.

That is why I said estimated.

Thank you for the link.

Please let us know what they say in particular about the Homelink. I emailed them last week enquiring about it and also about the new mention of premium connectivity only for 1 year but they have just ignored my email.

I’m sticking with my red P lite with FSD.

I have already purchased a nice second hand set of 19” with tyres for about $1000. Got the Tesla TPMS x4 through Amazon.
I can use the Aeros for range and 19” for handling / looks.

Bjorn Nyland has done lots of YouTube videos showing the range difference between 18” Aeros, 19” and 20”. Basically 10%.

Really missing the tow bar option.
I use it a lot. May have to keep the Outback until someone designs a certified third party tow bar.

Tesla Range Table - Teslike.com
Performance identical to LR AWD (unless Tesla undertook some mechanical changes - highly unlikely)

Was in Oakland on the 7/7/19- went to Seattle then Vancouver, now on its way to Long beach-
Then on to NZ & Oz (was in that ANL schedule you posted).. be very early, chances are slim- but not zero!
Apologies, got my port order and direction all mixed up.
In any case this vessel arrives in aust first week of august, which seems too early. Next two are more likely for end of august deliveries.
