Tesla Shipping - Moving to Australia from US

Hello all,
I recently accepted an offer that will require I relocate the family from LA to Sydney. I was wondering if anyone has experience with shipping Teslas from the US to AU? Is it even possible, given the software/nav, etc? Should I sell them and purchase new? We have an S (100D) and an X (100D).

Any help/advice would be greatly appreciated!

My understanding is that the charge port is different here in Australia (type 2, supports 3 phase). Where in USA they use a different connector that is 1 phase only. Even if LHD is not a showstopper, I would find this to be a major problem. Probably means you wouldn't be able to use any charging infrastructure designed for Tesla use.

I recommend sell and repurchase.

I've looked at shipping cars to Europe in the past when I've moved there. Put in shipping container but It's expensive. Registration will be difficult/expensive since different countries have different requirements for lights, etc. Also Australia has RHD so that will be problematic (possibly insurmountable).
Better solution is to just buy a car there and sell when you leave.

Make sure you get out of sydney and experience the outback. Just be mindful that if the kangaroos dont kill you the koala’s will, and the snakes will finish you off.

M4rtin : Yes, the relo package includes shipping but not the delta between a repurchase.

Ha, we're super excited about exploring the country. We'll make sure to watch our for the *short* list of dangers ;)

I think we've come to the realization that we're probably best off selling and re-purchasing. Guess we're getting Raven upgrades!

Guessing it’s a tech company relocating you?
Btw current dangers are bushfires, venomous monsters currently not as concerning!
