I think Tesla may well produce more cars than Mercedes or BMW in 2022.

Tesla helped Nikola to produce 305,841 vehicles combined in Q4.
We're going to see this every year for the next several years now that Tesla is in the same range as other global OEMs, especially once reduced ICE sales come in to the picture.

Wall Street is expecting 1.3M deliveries in 2022. Tesla is now at a 1.23M run rate and Shanghai is still expanding, so this means neither Austin or Berlin will produce any cars in 2022.
I think that 1.6m is the low end for next year.

You could feel how painful that article was for Lora to write if you read between the sentences. Additionally, she was trying so hard to get through it without her brain exploding she made stupid beginner mistakes as if she doesn't even the know the difference between S&Y:
When she completed her assignment, she filed a civil suit against her employer for threatening to fire her if she refused to cover the P&D story for Q4. The suit claims this is "cruel and unusual punishment" for "someone of her beliefs".

Numbers ~ I am right brained in a left brain dominant world ~ period
Having said that, the drive off assembly to hand off pipeline is relatively consistent. At least the pipeline is not filled will fossil fuel.
I think the heads are spinning and eyes are popping out of their heads wondering why OEMs cannot get traction. Kind-a like watching the roadrunner fly past the coyote. Constantly exceeding the production with standing long lines goes beyond the excuse ~ its hard to get parts/supply chain delays.
