On the topic of blocking, over on Twitter someone speculated that Unsworth's lawyers were paid by "by deep pockets of third-party money",

When Unsworth's lawyer Lin Wood's response to that speculation drew a skeptical question from me,

Admittedly, my reasoning is not 100% logical, but I still find the reaction interesting...

i resent your tweet and he did the exact same thing immediately to me too. Very interesting indeed.

Nice, thanks for doing this. But I can't report a copyright violation without a twitter account! I tried.

Which makes no sense. As if only a Twitter user's copyright could be violated?

Surely you could create a temporary account to report a copyright violation. It's not like you have to log into it after you get a confirmation that the account is banned.

The biggest things we can do to cut through the nonsense is as owners so...

a) Dont drive your tesla like an ass :D Let people out at junctions, say thanks when people let you out etc...

This is key! I tell my wife we are brand ambassadors and to always be polite and smile. Today I was on a single lane Forest Service road in the mountains. Normally I don't see any other people or cars on this road but today was "Christmas Tree getting day" and I saw four vehicles parked off the road in different spots as the families found the perfect tree. I would slow way down and give them as wide of a berth as possible and a friendly wave and then silently zoom off. In a silent place like this, where people are enjoying the out-of-doors, it makes quite an impression in that the other cars are not as quiet and they leave a distinct smell in the air. People notice this when the air is so clean. Then, when an EV drives by they don't notice that smell nor the sound of the engine disrupting the natural silence. If the driver is polite and smiles it leaves them with a good impression of Tesla's and gets them thinking about these things.

b) Always be enthusiastic about your experience with he car if anybody asks about it

I just tell them the damn, unvarnished truth! Oh, wait...It looks like we are saying the same thing! :)

if no one has coined the term “Dealercrats” it’s probably time to. It crosses over Dem/GOP designations and follows the Money.
And who gets the best price and trade-ins from the local dealer?

in TX, the Dealercratic rhetoric voiced in committee hearings was “But but the dealerships give to Easter Seals, WHY do you hate Easter Seals hmmmmmm??”

So you may be ...right...

Oops hit send early. There is an obvious question as to who gets the best deal on a new car and trade-in from his local dealership? Surprise. Its not an Easter Seals question.

I don't think that's suitable space for the Model Y general assembly line: it's not nearly long enough, and this is the side of the stamping press.

Here's the planned GF3 layout, from about a month ago:

I believe the Model Y GA line is right next to and parallel to the Model 3 GA line, within the existing building.

I.e. Model Y capacity can probably be added reasonably quickly, without much extra construction.
They appear to be clearing ground next to phase one where I’ve highlighted. Not as far as the second phase of the battery assembly building.

a guy on twitter who represents himself as some sort of tear down specialist/reverse engineering. He claims to work for third parties like institutionals, etc. He definitely has some engineering knowledge, but it's hard to say he's for real. I've become a little more skeptical lately, but I just read it for the insight more than anything and not get too sucked in.

My take as well. He seems to have a lot of insight, but I've also become more dubious of his story over time. Who knows.

tug-of-war

That was one week in Elon-time. Time in the simulation runs differently for him. ;)

A few years ago the legislators in Texas were pointing out that the local car dealerships benefit communities by supporting Little League. What they actually do is convert the Little League into an advertising medium by emblazoning the names of the dealerships on uniforms. This is in hopes of turning the players' parents into customers, and then the players themselves in a few years.

Elon's response was, "How much does the Little League want? I'll write a check right now."

I just got banned from a "free speech site" because the owner is a board member of airlines, and I posted about the trillions of dollars lost in illness due to passenger airlines being vectors for disease, AND of the excess noise pollution from the hundreds of mass passenger airplanes passing over our area every day starting a decade ago despite us never letting airlines do that to us. My solution was to end tax subsidy via all means including airports, security, and FAA, and to have plane trip owners pay directly to landowners for noise pollution (I didn't mention I'd prefer a market based bidding system directly with the landowners). He is a self-proclaimed Libertarian in tax matters, so when I mentioned that, he went ballistic, since he doesn't want his tax subsidies ended, and I turned him directly into a total and complete hypocrite. He wants the right to take away property rights of landowners, to pollute at them with noise, and spread disease, and still wants tax money to do more of that, and use airlines as a way to bring in more spies and illegal aliens and allow spying above our own land, and when I called him on it, he went complete ape-crap nuts and violated every one of his own principles in order to ban me. He waited until I did something he could claim was against the "rules", and he lied about what rule I broke and set up the ban immediately.

The airline board members and investors are not an honest bunch.

Lol. And here's Lin Wood endorsing the notion that Twitter is a "cesspool" when it comes to conversation, and thus undercutting his whole premise that Elon's comments on Twitter should be taken seriously ;)

Lin Wood on Twitter

It’s almost like people think when posting on the Internet it’s their inner voice chatting away inside their head. Like they don’t know they just said it ‘out loud’.
