Thanks for clarifying, just didn't know if you'd evaluated or were just keeping it simple. I do understand the KISS principle, but I usually complicate it if I can - lol. I figure with Tesla and this deal I'm going to have to give up a bit and keep it simple, maybe losing on the trade proposition.

I did the math, and from what I can tell, I'm better off... I'm guessing that Tesla wouldn't even get to KBB on my non-Tesla car, so Carvana/Vroom are at least $1400 over Tesla. Since I would save about $1100 in taxes if I got KBB for my trade in, I'm slightly better off financially, and way better off with speed to delivery... Win/win!!!

Anyone heard from Tesla that their car is actually en route to Texas?
I was told mine is at the "transit center" in Southern California. I got my VIN the same day as many of you (last Wednesday), but I still haven't received my paperwork even. Yesterday was the first I've been able to reach my delivery rep since then. He said he was submitting it yesterday afternoon. I thought it would come to me then, but I guess it must have been submitted to some other department. Can anyone give me a feel for the timing on this? I'm paying cash and have no trade-in. Still almost a week later, I haven't made any progress.

That's certainly interesting. I got my contracts to e-sign the same day I received my VIN and the payment option became available on my account the next day. Everything on my end was done within 48 hours.

It seems like several members have had an experience like yours. Now I've gone from refreshing my Tesla account page all day to watch for a VIN to checking my email constantly for the paperwork! lol. Best of luck with your delivery.

We are keeping our Model S, selling our ancient Highlander, and will now be a no-ICE family. We've joked that we'll no longer argue over who gets to drive the Tesla each day. Instead, we'll argue over who drives which Tesla each day.

We're keeping our Model S as well (it's my daily driver). The Model 3 will be my wife's care and will displace one of our two Volts, which will be handed down to our son in college (displacing his ICE car ;-)

We've been almost zero gas for the past 3 years and it's been great. My now 17 year old daughter learned to drive on a Volt, and I had to teach her how to fill up a gas tank recently after about 9 months of driving because the Volt forced her to burn off the tank because the gasoline was getting stale.

Anyone in SATX get a VIN? It's been 3.5 weeks since my order. I only placed my order because they said it'd be a 4 week delivery which coincided to my staycation which would have been perfect. I'm guessing Tesla won't be meeting their timeline. Still haven't heard from Tesla. No update, no sorry for the hang up.

Nope.. not yet. I placed mine 4.5 weeks ago....

Sorry they let you down on the staycation thing! Call the Tesla number, ask them... I did yesterday, and it made me feel better.

But I think they're just filling up a SATX truck :D

Tesla is supposed to get the check today from my credit unu
FYI: My payment was just posted to my Tesla account and my NV delivery person provided the following delivery estimate in response to my query:

"I will be working off the estimated time the system projects for your Model 3, which is currently 7-10 days.
This includes the following steps:
-Travel time from CA to TX
-Prep time for final inspection and detailing
-TX state inspection
If the vehicle is ready to go sooner than the system projects we will reschedule you to accommodate a quicker delivery."

So now what? No delivery date yet even though you are paid up and ready to go? You are my only hope regarding a delivery next week Mckinney Brother!! :)

FYI - I did finally get my paperwork today and was able to make payment. Just took six days after getting VIN. At least I'm another step closer.

I think I may be repeating myself from an earlier post, but yesterday my delivery specialist emailed the following in response to my very similar question:

So estimated delivery on 2/27-3/1ish?? Nice!! I can't wait for one us to officially get our Texas 3s

Is anyone here using Tesla's financing option here in Texas? I'm not finding many lending options that aren't super short in timeframe or right around the 2.74% APR anyways. It also seems advantageous to use their in-house financing partner to get things approved fast and get the ball rolling with a Texas delivery.
