If they just bumped the price by $550 then it may mean the difference between making a cutoff of a rebate or LCT threshold now or in future. I actually agree with them doing this as it also allows people to add what they need.Considering the significant cost of the car and the absolute necessity of a charging cable, I think this is pretty poor form from Tesla.

I hear what you're saying. If they just bumped the price by $550 then it may mean the difference between making a cutoff of a rebate or LCT threshold now or in future. I actually agree with them doing this as it also allows people to add what they need.
I expect further price rises. We are still significantly cheaper, pre-tax adjusted, from the USA even including adding back the mobile connector(which they also do not get). Comparing post taxes and rebates gets more complicated but even then we are cheaper and possibly cheaper again depending on variant and which states you compare against.I hear what you're saying.
I would also agree with the move IF they reduced the base price of the car. But that's a big IF, and I'll believe it when I see it.
Seems like double-dipping to me

Only for orders from today according to posts on other forums.Hang on, is that for new orders or existing orders?
It's a $550 price rise (that you can avoid if you don't need/want the UMC).this sucks for new buyers, if anyone drives less than 100km a day then the UMC does a great job
It’s really notIt's a bit like selling an ICE car without a filler hole IMO.
More like without a backup jerry can. It's a bit like selling an ICE car without a filler hole IMO.
This will be me. I usually drive up to 100kms most days, and am planning to use the UMC. Luckily, it will be included with my car and I won't have to fork out an extra $550 for the privilege.if anyone drives less than 100km a day then the UMC does a great job
