So glad you're ok and admire your attitude to the whole situation.
+1...as others have stated, be aware that effects from the crash may bubble up days/weeks after the event.
Wish you the best.....

Well, my 3 order was still showing 4 week delivery when I confirmed it, so I am hoping to have my 3 in late January early Feb. I had previously clicked the "delay my order" button, but it turns out Tesla is glad for you to change your mind at any time, and the original order option was still on My Tesla.
I am using a BlackVue 650S. They are the standard it seems for Teslas. I actually like the video quality out of a Street Guardian that I used to own, but it doesn't offer dual cameras or a parking cam option.
Wow. Glad you are okay. That looks like it was almost a head-on collision. That's pretty scary. Sorry this happened to you but glad you're alright.Making lemonade out of lemons. Got hit today by a dude with no license and no insurance. Video here;
You can see that he appeared to decide to hit me. Not sure what the deal was, just very, very glad we were both OK. I went to urgent care after the car was towed for some X-rays, and am chilling at home with ice packs now. My first experience with airbags.
Here are the remains of my baby. Very glad I was in such a safe car. I was going about 55 I think when he hit me. Who knows how fast he was going. I had JUST put on my gray Arachnid wheels a month or so ago. Ah well.

Anyway: I chose a Blue Model 3 and got the 19" rims. Lemonade day. .
The fact you had a dash camera was an excellent decision. Many collisions on these roads have the offending party lie about what occurred, that they were on correct side of the road, and the victim was actually the offender.
I followed some of the guides here. I didn’t have the proverbial microphone connector, so ran it down the A pillar to the OBD port for power. Just be careful to route properly around the airbags when doing the work.Thank you . How did you install it?
Also shouldn't he be arrested?
Hopefully. They did not authorize one last night when I started the claim, but I am hoping they will today when the actual case rep calls me. We have an extra car (our pickup truck) so we can manage even if they don't authorize the rental. I have never been involved in a total insurance claim, so not sure how that plays out.thank good for dashcam! recover well and hoping that Model 3 arrives soon! Will you insurance put you up with a rental?
Im so glad you're ok Az_Real. I used to live in Valencia and frequented Bouquet Canyon. That's a road that requires more attention. Great job swerving! What part of the canyon did this happen?
In general I agree with what you said (and I got a dashcam for the X, unlike an past car,) but given that all the debris is around the right side of the right lane, it seems like that kind of claim would be pretty hard to push in this case.

Glad you are okay. Even if you don't think you are hurt too bad, find a "certified" motor vehicle collision specialist physician to properly diagnose, treat or refer so you don't end up with long term problems later. Best wishes in your recover and replacing your car!
