Thanks atlg8or. And the good news is I will not have to go through a sleepless night tonight, in eager anticipation of a delivery tomorrow. Red will be in my garage.

DLM270-

You must be one of the very first cars out of the factory! You might even have Elon come by to congratulate you (he did that when I was there a couple of weeks ago). If so, have him sign the visor or something. The tour will be amazing, but you may be so excited to get the car that you'll remember nothing from the tour. There was a whiteboard along the way that lists the record # of builds in a day (the number was 109 when we were there). They will load you on a tram, the best seats are those at the front of each car, but all will give you a great view, and they will stop at a number of points to let you get out and see actions up close. You'll go by Elon's desk that is out in the middle of the production floor, surrounded by a number of engineering and manufacturing desks. His is obvious, only in that it has the Motor Trend COTY award on it. Otherwise it looks pretty much like all the other desks next to it. I was told this was actually his working desk and not something set up for PR purposes only.

Pay attention to the section with a large number of what looks like florescent tubes, as this is where the inspections after paint occur. The robots picking up the drivers seat and placing that inside the car from the passengers side without hitting any other items in the car looks impossible, but just makes it. Anyway, this will be better than going to Disneyland as a kid, and we are all enjoying it vicariously with you!

Like I said before "to him who has been given much, much shall be required". Let's see those pics!!

Wow, you had a much better tour than I did. We walked, no tram, and I never saw Elon's desk, paint inspection, etc.

RED DELIVERY UPDATE! Just received an email from my Product Specialist and they have moved our RED delivery up so we will be acquiring RED this afternoon, following our 2 pm scheduled tour. Pictures on the way later this PM.
If the server on this site is slowing down, it is because we are all hitting the REFRESH button every 15 seconds waiting on DLM's photos.

It was a whirlwind of a day for me. First an email from my DS with my VIN number. Then on My Tesla a few hours later the final MVPA for my signature and countersigning by Tesla shows up. Simultaneously another email from Tesla takes me to a link on My Tesla that enables me to transfer cash from my checking account for my portion of the due bill. 30 minutes later the countersigned MVPA arrives by email and on My Tesla. Immediately I forward it by email and fax to PenFed. An hour later PenFed emails to say the check is being processed and I'll have it in a few days. When I arrive home this evening a FedEx envelop arrives with approval and paperwork for sale of my Chevy Volt lease to a buyer through Swap-A-Lease.

So in one day, after a year of planning and waiting, it all came together in a flash. The only step remaining is a final delivery date.

Now for those pictures DLM270!

I am totally blown away by this RED. It is much better then I expected, and well worth the wait!

Thanks for the pictures, looks great other than the interior and that I have the 60 the exterior will be identical to our car so it is great to finally see some real life red pics. Cannot wait, have about another month. How do you feel about the overall car in respect to fit and finish, etc.
