I hear ya...Anyone know how many of these specialists there are to handle the 100 cars per day coming off the line? I suspect that might be part of the issue....

Agree. Even the finance team. After I submitted my financing info, the website stated response within 48hrs, but it took way more than that. I guess Tesla needs to hire more people if it believes demand will stay high.

Obviously not enough for the volume they have to handle.

@artsci, really sorry to hear about the difficulties. My DS has been extremely responsive. I've spoken with her three times over the past 3 weeks (always based on my initiating the call) and she responded to my VMs within 2-4 hours. Have you tried email? It might be easier for her to communicate through that medium. Just one more obstacle to overcome ...

Not mine, but close

That could be true. If Steve N does not want it, I will take it. I dont have the Pano roof but everything else looks the same. I did not opt for the Front license plate holder though!

I'm in the Lynnwood/Bothell area and have pretty much the same configuration but my VIN is 8399. I was just at the Tesla factory for a tour on Wednesday (awesome, BTW) and my car was in final inspection. Should be up here in a week or so. There were a ton of reds in various state of readiness, but I couldn't get close enough to spy any of the VINs on the line.

Email is what I've been using. It's now approaching 9am in Palo Alto. If I don't get a response by 11am PST I'll take other measures, like going over her head. I know my car's been built and is probably ready to ship, so why not communicate the shipping and delivery information to me?

I've had mobile access for more than two days now but my DS has stopped communicating. She was very communicative up to the time that the PenFed check for the final balance was delivered to Tesla in Palo Alto. Now no responses to my inquiries about shipping and final delivery. This is especially annoying because I have to arrange delivery around a very complicated travel schedule over the next two weeks. Tesla now has my money and I have nothing, not even a response to my emails. This is very poor customer service and communication.

I finally heard from my DS this morning. We're working out now a specific delivery date around my travel schedule, shooting for April 29 or May 1 at the latest. She also made it quite clear that delivery on or before April 24, which was my hope, was very unlikely,. So I'm now ok with all of this and the moment I've been waiting for is near at hand.

My usual afternoon update from the Seattle Service Center :). Red, 19" Tan,60KWh, Pano with VIN #8919 is here. Picture below. Also heard that two more trucks are scheduled to come in later today with more Reds!!!

Apparently I'm the first red Tesla on the road in Seattle. Followed very shortly by 8369 who had an appt at 1:30. Including mine there were 4 reds in the delivery warehouse. :)

Pics to follow when I'm done driving. So you know.... In 250 miles or so.

I was remarking to DLM the other day about how good the gaps (along the frunk lid) have gotten even since I got my car in January (I have a little bit of a gap right above the logo that I'll ask service to do something about - see here). The pic posted by seattleguy above confirms that.

Tesla's striving for perfection and seems to be achieving it.
