You're not alone Todd, I think Tesla has forsaken me as well, lol.

I just got my VIN and I finalized on 1/24. I don't think there are too many people left that finalized before 1/24 still waiting for a VIN. I sent my DL and proof of insurance on Thursday, but don't have my MVPA or a firm delivery date yet.

The DS team is very busy and might not reach out to call folks just to provide status updates. They seem to be reaching out only when they need really to start working on your MVPA - which may be after vehicle inspection. (I'm not sure if before it's loaded on the truck) By updating customers at this stage in the delivery process, there is less risk of a schedule change, which would require more phone calls to then irate customers. I'm very happy. When I reserved in December, I was told August delivery!

Finalized on 1/25 here. No DS, no VIN, but a delivery window of 5/6 - 5/20. And I know that adding Twin Chargers to my order last month must have bumped me to the back of the line, but it doesn't make it suck any less. :-(

Yeah, I know. It's just harder to be patient the closer it gets, and utter radio silence from Tesla when others several thousand reservations down the line are getting VINs and deliveries isn't helping (and yes, now I understand how all of those Signature reservation holders felt when they were being passed over for their cars). I reserved in October and was told August delivery as well, so I'll be thrilled to have the car in May..... but I do wish there was a little more transparency to the process. There's only so many times you can check the stupid iPhone app in a day before you feel like a complete tool. ;-)

On a side note, I find it interesting that when I emailed Tesla to inquire about adding Twin Chargers, I got multiple responses almost immediately (albeit via phone calls - never via return email). Emailing Tesla to inquire about when my car might be ready or when I might have a VIN has been met by complete and total radio silence.

Just got my VIN yesterday--see my signature for my timeline

S85, no pano, air, tech, 19", black leather, multi-coat ('CHP') red, obeche gloss Test drive Menlo Park 2/2/13, reservation 18870 - RN 327060 2/3/13, MVPA signed 2/11/13, VIN 09667 (4/26/13), scheduled Fremont delivery 5/13/13.

See what I mean? God bless you, JPP, I'm damn glad you got your VIN and I'm thrilled your wait isn't going to be long, but reservation 18870 getting a VIN before reservation 13040? I know, I know, I'm whining..... I've really got to work on that. ;-)

I wrote my DS yesterday...and got my VIN today, yeehaw!

I finalized on Feb 27, got VIN today 9854, delivery May22-24! Hang in there Todd and email your DS!

Well now you guys are just ganging up on me. ;-)

Stupid question: how have you guys found out who your DS is? At no point have I been given any contact name more specific than, "please contact our Tesla Delivery Team at [email protected]." And that seems to be a black hole for my emails.

After the website came back up and people were posting that they got their red delivery buttons...well, after a few days I popped down to the Tesla store in NJ, which isn't too far from my house. Spoke to the sales rep who left a message with someone in CA. Got an email from Cecily a day or two later introducing herself as my DS.

I can PM you her email address if you'll like...

I dropped by the Seattle service center today. They have a parking garage 2 blocks east of the center where they prepare their cars for delivery. I counted 15 cars being prepared, of which four were red. They were really paranoid about me taking close-up pictures and tipping people off on early delivery of their cars. Here's a stealth picture I took from the distance of the entrance.

One was identical to my car but with carbon fiber accents. Looked awesome! My car arrives Monday but I'm out of town Tuesday and they need a day to prep it, so have to wait till Thursday to pick up. My delivery specialist told me that they have ten cars backed up at the factory because they're out of room in Seattle, so they're delaying shipment a few days.

Received amazing news yesterday. Called Delivery to make sure everything was set for my Portland Service Center pick-up in 2 weeks. The local DS, a guy I hadn't talked to yet (my previous DS is based in CA... This new guy would e the local DS actually going through the delivery with me) said the main office guy usually over-estimates time to delivery and checked the status of my car. My MS was done and ready to be shipped to Portland! He moved my delivery appointment UP a full week! I was floored! I'll be taking delivery on Thursday!!!

Well holy crap! I emailed delivery@ and actually got a response within 10 minutes!

I'm VIN 9786 and my DS is Laura Sloane who "will be reaching out to you early next week to assist with your purchase."

Wow! I can't believe it!!!!!!!!!!!!

I was going to wait until Monday to ask again but since you got a reply in 10 minutes I figured what the heck. That was 45 minutes ago :/
