Looks like Tesla is finally catching up on emails. I got an email this morning at 4:30am PST stating that my Model S has entered production, which is fine since it just happened yesterday late afternoon. But the funny part is that it was immediately followed by another email stating I was just assigned a VIN - now that one is over three weeks late!!

please forgive the off topic but this made me feel better during my wait-
PD Review from a trusted source | Forums | Tesla Motors

This does indeed make waiting more difficult. The insane acceleration description great, but it should be a warning: Do not let anyone else drive your P85D. I will not be letting my friends drive it (like I have with previous cars), and I will be scared to let my wife drive it. If my kids were of driving age, it would be off limits.

I've asked Tesla if we can set a parental control on the car. To me, having a car with superb collision avoidance and assist would be the ideal car to teach my 15 year old to drive, as long as I could limit the acceleration and top speed.

Experimenting...

Now sorting by in production date and then scheduled delivery date (as an approximation to EOL).

Interesting idea. Do note however that scheduled delivery dates may not be very meaningful yet. In my example, the date I entered was the first day of the week that my DS originally thought it could be delivered. However it will likely be a week earlier, but I still don't have an exact date.

EDIT: also, delivery location can throw a link in the estimation since it could take an extra week or two to deliver in further locations than locally.

Maybe it is now worth adding the production end date column, since production started last week?

Did those of you whose cars are in production receive updated MVPAs that reflect the VIN number?

I haven't yet and need it to proceed with the loan funding process (the loan having been approved at 2.19% for 60 months by Bank of America).

Reached out to DS but received an out-of-office email regarding his being out through the T'giving long weekend.

Actually now that I look more closely at the final MVPA with Final Price Sheet, it seems the following items are no longer listed:

19" Michelin Primacy Tire Upgrade
Fog Lamps
Alcantara Upper Dashboard Trim
Parcel Shelf

These used to be listed in my previous delivery configuration, MVPA, vehicle configuration, etc. PDFs. Do you guys still see them on your final document?

Yes, all of these items listed plus other items. This is actually a lot more detail than what is displayed through the "view design".

Have all of you received your Docusign agreement? I'm still waiting on mine...

If you're getting external financing, you can ask Tesla to prepare the documents sooner since your lender would need those for your loan. If you're using Tesla financing, the paperwork will probably come closer to delivery.

Nope not yet. I'm financing through Tesla so it should be ready soon.

Hmm what you show looks like my "old" MVPA, which has the first three items broken out separately (and a bit redundant in their description, if you ask me).

OTOH, my latest and "final" MVPA basically combined them to show the $104k P85D "base price" in one item:

Note the lack of the fog lamps, alcantara dashboard trim, parcel shelf... it seems that this just replicates what you see on the website's order page, in the same order too.

My older MVPA had the aforementioned items in a different order. Anyway, I'll just ask to confirm that those items are still included (most likely yes, but if I'm going to sign a document I'd rather have it accurately reflect what's included!)

My 85D order does not have any of these items listed (and they are all applicable to it).

Michelin Primacy tires are standard for 19" rims now for all vehicles even S60s.
Fog Lamps are part of the Tech Package.
Alcantara Dashboard trim is part of the Alcantra headliner option now.
Parcel Shelf has been standard for quite a while.

Makes sense they'd start dropping these from the MVPA.

Edit: One thing to keep in mind, converted orders may have a weird Vehicle Configuration listing. I believe it's actually possible to order a P85D with the old split interior/lighting/yacht floor packages if it was converted from an older order. That's one reason why I still have some of these options split out on the master order sheet.

I have nothing yet. I emailed today and they expect to have my paperwork together in the next couple of days, I'm not sure if the trade in slows things down a bit. They'd have had my car for about a week now and it still appears to be linked to my myTesla etc. they're probably struggling to keep up with the sudden increase in incoming cars as well as cars being sold. I guess they'll soon get tired of me flashing the car lights and honking the horn

I've been watching my old car head south on I-5 (on a truck) since yesterday afternoon. I'm surprised their intake procedure doesn't have them turn off remote access.

Just to give credit where credit is due, my DS has been pretty accurate and forthcoming with dates and has told me that my car will be in Vancouver by the 8th. He hasn't written it in blood but he seems reasonably confident that a truck with a few cars will be arriving then. The drive from there to my home city is less certain as local independent drivers are involved.
I know he sometimes logs into TMC so now he knows I'm counting on him! Don't disappoint me!

I just asked the Tesla financing specialist I've been working with about Docusign and he said I'll just be signing paperwork in person at delivery... wonder why that is.

There was no Docusign on my order that was delivered in September in Seattle.

I'd bet the Docusign is done for orders where the car is sold before it's put on the truck because they can't sell the cars in the delivery state. In the case of cars where the car is actually sold at delivery, there is no reason to mess with that and can just use paper documents.
