They're going to make Tesla steaks now? I can't wait! Especially with some Teslaquila!

Now we know why he was at the White House. :D

Battery cell production in Germany hung out to dry - electrive.com

The TerraE consortium that had planned to set up a mega battery cell production in Germany has failed as none of the businesses involved was ready to shoulder the investment, German media reports. TerraE thus follows other players in the country that continue to ignore the government calling on them to do their bit.

But back to TerraE – the conglomerate of 20 companies from production to chemistry specialists including BMZ and StreetScooter that now has failed. They had planned to install a battery facility not unlike the Tesla Gigafactory when they got together in May 2017. The idea was to scale up capacity until it would reach 34 GWh in 2028. Yet they did never began building a factory in the first place, because none of the firms wanted to make a considerable investment into cell production.

Wow, they want a battery cell factory but only if they don't have to help pay for it? Yep, Tesla Killers incoming...

For the love of God please don’t tweet about this Elon, stay classy.

Space crew survives plunge to Earth after Russian rocket fails

I can't speak to safety records of Russian space program since collapse of USSR, but their engineers realized and took steps to mute the hazard of fire in the space program. The US adopted those procedures by diluting oxygen content of air in capsules after we lost three onboard in a test. Despite an egregious record in misusing unions and unsafe manufacturing environments, aerial artists in Soviet era circuses had mandatory wires and safety nets.

I think at this stage the threat to Tesla is not competition in the field of BEVs, but rather its uphill battle against shadowy detractors with apparently great influence on the US financial market and regulator.

So I think the significant aspect of this failure of a German battery factory project is just a delay of the dominance of BEVs in general, and since the advent of BEVs in general is believed to increase awareness and market share also for Tesla, I am unsure if this is even good news for Tesla investors.

For the overall master plan of making the world's transportation sustainable, it is not good news.

I hope that in some years we will see non-Tesla battery giga-factories, otherwise this transition will take too long. And as an investor, I don't need Tesla to reach close to a 100% of the global vehicle market share. I will settle for 50%. :)

Nasdaq and SP500 had a sharp sell off at the same time. Always important to consider context.

I nearly snagged some shares while they were briefly at $249. Too slow to pull the trigger & decided not to chase it when it shot to $251.
If you make enough to afford a Tesla, you should have enough taxes to get the full rebate. Unless you are really good at avoiding taxes.
lots of people can afford a Tesla and can’t use the deduction. Their income is from tax free minis.

Tesla removed the order by October 15th for full tax credit date off the configuration.

Tesla either can no longer guarantee it because their production sucks..

OR

NO DEMAND. Can grab any Tesla rusting on the lots as late as 12-31-18.

:D

P/AWD was deliver in ~4 weeks yesterday. 8 weeks today. Sold out a months worth of production in ~2 days?

Lordy, MSNBC & POLITICO Miss The Tesla Elephant Again | CleanTechnica

Every major is down in sales, yet Tesla is the completely opposite with significant positive sales... but no mention by MSNBC... they blame everything else.

This is how they control the narrative by omission. They just simply leave out the news about Tesla.

Irrelevant news only exists because they are propaganda for highest bidders.

It could be the iceberg in the path of the titanic and they would tell you otherwise to not upset sponsor backed dollar.

China has several giga scale battery factories and is building more. They are on-board with mitigating climate change. It's just the Germans who have their heads in the sand.

Well I mean if you include the Japanese, the American, and the European automakers continuing on with what they are doing, that's 95%+ of world auto sales right now ignoring climate change right now. I mean we have until 2030 to reduce global carbon emissions by 40% or we're all kinda screwed and no one seems to be feeling even the slightest urgency.

People who own EV's should all be getting together and building our underground city to survive climate change at this point. Only EV owners allowed to join and move there. That's how bad it's going to be really soon now.
