Uncorked X100D

For the 100D, a value of P1 for perf_config does not appear to reflect whether it has been uncorked. My Model X 100D built May 2017 already returns P1 for perf_config but my local SC confirmed that it is eligible for uncorking.

Supposedly the check for whether a 100D has been uncorked is a 'PT_BMS_ISENSORPROTOCOLNUMBER' value greater than 3. Unfortunately, that does not appear to be accessible through the API.

ok, sorry for my ignorance . . . but I have no idea how to get this information. I downloaded visible tesla, and that seems to be very incomplete. In fact, there does not seem to be any specific options for model X's (pic is of a model S 70, missing a lot of data, location doesn't work, etc). I am also completely in the dark as to how to use the API.

On a side note, I emailed my delivery specialist and he said uncorking is ONLY available for the x75. I just emailed him back with regards to the information I see posted here from you guys.

Any assistance would be much appreciated

Check out the post from KArnold at Any news on 100D uncorking? . With a build date of 07/2017, your vehicle is probably uncorked already.

I found the following Youtube video useful to get started with the API:

I had it uncorked. You can feel the difference just like other posters said. When you accelerate fast enough the power goes above 300, which it did not do before.

I had some other things done as well and got a loaner, a model S P90D with Ludricous. We are very happy we got the X. The S is too confined, almost claustrophobic. We're are so used to the panoramic windshield, that is was very awkward looking through the windshield in the S. The fact that we had to close the doors manually seems like "torture"....

The Ludicrous is something else. The first time I tried it I almost passed out. It went all dizzy in my head. On later runs it was OK. To be honest, it is not our thing. It is just too violent. We were so happy to get our own car back at the end of the day.
The service was again great. They washed the car and even vacuumed it!

Perf Config “P1” is only part of the confirmation. The other is a field not exposed in the API and it literally says either “Corked” or “Uncorked.” You need the SC to check that other setting I believe.
Is that something they can check remotely or do they need a hardwire connection to assess? Also, not that I am questioning your knowledge, but how do you know that it will specifically say corked vs uncorked on there super secret special diagnostic page? :D

Been discussed at length but sorry I don’t know where in this LONG thread...maybe midway through? But lots of background for you! :)

0 to 60 uncork

Called SC this morning and was told uncorking is for 75D only....she looked into my X profile just to double check and came back with nothing and that everything is normal and nothing was available to be uncorked. She said if that changes corporate would send an email out to them to let owners know about the uncorking.

I've seen these uncorking threads for a while but it wasnt something I was interested in. But, out of curiosity, I checked with service center and found out that my March 2017 X100D 35XXX is eligible for uncorking. Getting it done next Tuesday.

Very interesting . . . .

So I spoke to my delivery specialist a couple of weeks ago. He said that uncorking is ONLY available for x75d. I explained that there are tons of people saying the opposite and he essentially called you all liars

Just called a nearby service center and the guy said the same thing . . . . I questioned him again, hearing about it over and over again online. He put me on hold, came back a couple of minutes later and apologized, saying it is "now official for x100d so I might qualify". He recommended I call my preferred service center (closer to my house) and schedule an appointment. Sooooooo, I just got off the phone with my preferred SC and the woman I spoke sounded as if she had NO IDEA what I was talking about. She proceeds to put me on hold for about 5 min and then comes back and says they "need to do more research into this query and they will get back to me."

I feel like I have tapped into some top secret information and they are all stalling for damage control.

I don't expect to get sub 4 sec performance out of my car, but if there is a way to better what I have already paid for, then I would very much like to have it.

First they can't give me my referral prizes bc I am a resident of Va (my son was CRUSHED when I told him no radio flyer). Then, I didn't get any swag with my second purchase (all I wanted was the umbrella and/or a mug) and now I get the runaround on uncorking. WOE IS ME :(

Tesla is not great at internal communication. It seems very reactive rather than proactive. If you push hard enough you can get it done. If you push even harder you may be able to get it done while your car is sitting in your garage at night. I may or may not know someone who had that happen.

Well, that was fast. Just got a call back and apparently my car is eligible. Setup an appointment for 2 wks from now (too much on my plate next week). According to the person I spoke with, it can ONLY be done via a service center scheduled visit and not OTA. I didn't want to argue. Looking forward to getting even more out of my favorite toy!

It can only be done in the SC as much as X100Ds aren't eligible as you were previously told. :p

It's definitely safer to do at a SC.
