Also, the border between Alaska and Canada isn't like the border between North Korea and South Korea.

^ That's a truly ODD infographic! The sub-heading notes state, "This graphic highlights the base model specs whenever available", yet the horsepower dial shows "max power"?!?!

Since it's the base trim, shouldn't the horsepower gauge show "base horsepower"? Only the Hummer EV, with only their top-trim Edition 1 being available, would show the 1000+ HP. Seems designed to showcase the Hummer EV.

"Electric car sales in the United States jumped to a record high of over 200,000 vehicles during the last quarter (Q1 2022).
It’s a good sign, but the US EV market is still extremely reliant on Tesla and California.

The United States is trailing far behind Europe and China when it comes to electrifying its passenger car marke
t. There are many factors at play, including weaker incentives and a preference for pickup trucks, which is a segment that is just now being electrified. But, we are starting to see a significant increase in EV adoption over the last year, and this last quarter was particularly important for EV adoption in the United States. Using data from the California Energy Commission (CEC) and the California Air Resources Board (CARB), Veloz published a new report on EV sales in the United States that shows a record number (over 208,000) of electric vehicles delivered in the country during Q1 2022."

"As you can see, Tesla has the top 3 most popular electric vehicle in the United States and the first two are in a league of their own in terms of volume. Model S comes in third with over 9,000 units delivered in Q1 2022 – 33% more than the Mustang Mach-E that comes in fourth despite the former’s average sale price likely being twice as high as the latter’s. However, the important thing to keep in mind is that those numbers are not representative of the demand for these vehicles but rather the production capacity or US allocation for each."

Fiat no longer generates enough sales to be ranked instead included in "Others."

Did you see the CNCDA report where the Mirai won in the subcompact category? I wonder how many wheels Toyota had to grease to get that award?

The Mirai exterior is almost as big as the pre refresh Model S.

But the interior volume is so small it qualifies as a subcompact.

And almost all of those "sales" are leases with a $15k charge card to buy Hydrogen.

The Mirai starts at $49,500 and the "Limited" trim starts at $66k.

There is zero chance it cost Toyota less than $85k to make a Mirai.

The headline to the JD Power study is most Americans won't consider an EV.

4% of new car buyers currently buy an EV over ICEv.

24% very likely to consider an EV for their next vehicle purchase. Homeowners much more likely to buy an EV than renters.

So the gap between 4% and 24% means demand for EVs will outpace supply of EVs for the foreseeable future. As supply of EV approaches 24% demand should increase to over 50% of car buyers wanting EVs.

Like most of us knew on this forum.
