I thought the dual motors worked by the front motor having a specific output which drove the front wheels and the rear a specific output driving the rears ( two motors). Therefore, surely switching to, say 100% rear just means the front motor has zero output while the rear has all its output . So, in effect you are losing all the power from the front motor but getting no more for the rear. So, if each motor has the equivalent of, say, 250bhp, you are limiting the car to 250bhp compared to 500bhp if you ran it 50/50.

What have I missed ?
