They're pumping out the WA VINs. 38 of the 200 VIN's issued in the last week are for WA.
EDIT, and as short as 10 days VIN to delivery.
So she specifically called out the financing piece as taking the longest? Does that mean the car is already in WA? I've seen people here mention that they get the financing wrapped up very quickly (and that's been my experience every time I've purchased a car).Well, I know they seem to be prioritizing WA orders, but it would probably be tight. I configured April 15th, got my VIN on May 1st, and talked to my ISA today. She said May 15th delivery was possible if we moved quickly with getting financing finalized.
I think it's mostly a delivery center thing. She just needed either a pre-approval letter from my credit union or an approved credit application through Tesla in order to file the paperwork and schedule delivery. Getting that first step done asap would get me delivery on the 15th.So she specifically called out the financing piece as taking the longest? Does that mean the car is already in WA? Or is the 15th date the earliest because of delivery center backups?
Inside Sales AdvisorThanks. I ordered! Most expensive car ever bought by a factor of 4.
I specified cash payment.
What's an ISA? Should I call Tesla?
I'm in Seattle too. Moved here in Jan.
Nope. I meant eleven. Since 2006 or 2007. The Model E/3 was supposed to be after the Roadster, IIRC.Maybe he meant "II" as in Roman numeral 2,
I was just making a lame joke and trying to ignore that I still don't have a VIN. (MSM/Aero/FSD config@April15) I haven't seen any Washington VINs on the spreadsheet today, which has me worried...
If you already configured and submitted it, I think you have more than a faint hope.As of 3:30pm pacific time, not a single Washington VIN has been reported today. Meanwhile, even Canadians are getting in on the VIN-action. Does this mean the US tax credit limit is about to be exceeded?

My hope of receiving the Washington state sales tax exception is almost extinguished, only a faint ember remains,
The transition from almost 40% WA VINs to 0% is still jarring. But it is only one day, so I will try to remain positive. If you already configured and submitted it, I think you have more than a faint hope.
