I have been lurking for a while, so here's my first post.

My VIN (5YJ3F7EC9LF4993XX) is visible today after getting my finance sorted with Pepper. I'm a difficult customer because I'm living in Singapore, but returning to the Gold Coast in December after 19 years overseas. I must say Pepper did a great job understanding I couldn't provide most of the things they needed, e.g. a local pay slip!

I ordered a P3+, midnight silver, black interior, No FSD on the 16th of October, no reservation.

I was told to expect a mid-December delivery on the 8th of November when I was told a VIN had been assigned.

This will only be my 2nd car. I purchased a new MY98 WRX and took it to Dublin in 2001 when I moved there for work. I sold that in 2003 the day before I moved to Singapore and haven't had a car for 16 years. I can't wait to drive my own car again!

if you would like to PM your full vin, I can confirm the ship and estimated delivery.

Picking up in Brisbane will be what you want to do. The car will be detailed and licence plates there.

Tongala will berth about 11.30pm Auckland time tonight. A few hours later than normal. It should stay between 12 and 24 hours. The ships normally arrive Sydney Friday night or wait until 8am Saturday morning depending on what the port is doing.
According to marinetraffic.com the ANL Tongala berthed 15 minutes ago, at 23:35 NZ time.

Bit of a different experience for me.
Ordered SR+ on 21/9.
Left for Florida on 2/11.
Arrive back in Sydney 9am on 11/12
Pick up SR+ from Alexandria at 10am on 11/12.
Yep, quick trip from the airport, then drive home in the new Tesla.
Emails answered, rego done, invoice paid, insurance organised, all from Florida.
The web is a great thing.
I'm sure the car will be too :)

Humble apologies in advance for this off-topic post, I feel like an impostor here even mentioning the "dinosaur" Model S in amongst the seemingly thousands of 3s coming into Australia! Is it possible to track a new S, or is the information only available for the 3s? I ordered an S in September, and have been advised January for delivery (in Perth). VIN: 5YJSB7E21LF3550XX.

Hi All. Random question. My car will be shipped up to Brisbane after being unloaded in Sydney. At what point does the delivery specialist decide if the car is in a deliverable condition (not too damaged), and hence start organizing the delivery date? Would it be in Sydney, or when it arrives at the delivery location i.e. Brisbane in my case?

After more than two years of waiting my car is getting closer and with just weeks to go before delivery my girlfriend of several years last night gave me a serious challenge:
( I think she is sick of me talking about, obsessing about, and tracking tesla's)

The Challenge: Can I go for one full hour without mentioning Tesla, Electric cars, the CyberTrukk, my Model 3P+, Elon Musk or what time the #&*(@%!(*&$^ blinking container ship arrives and where it is in the ocean right now!!!

I thought about it for a few seconds, which was more important - My Tesla or My Relationship:

Then I solved it, I rolled over
and went to sleep!

(And dreamed of my Tesla of course!!)

;):D:D:D;)

Autonexus do the inspections in Sydney. The delivery specialists will ring before the cars get to Brisbane, and talk date and arrange invoice. Currently the time from ship to delivery in Brisbane is about 3 weeks-ish. In Brisbane they do the final detailing, anything very minor, (last quarter they changed 12v batteries and topped up brake fluid) and put on plates.

So the big question will be.. can they process and deliver all or any cars before the Xmas break. I need to ask the Brisbane team what their shut down period is if it cannot be delivered before Xmas.

i understand they are shut xmas and boxing day. Open all other days. Its the 3rd parties to worry about - car carriers and detailers.

last quarter deliveries peaked at 100 per day a few days before end of year in the major cities. It wont be that this quarter, but still quite a lot.

What? Why is it taking so long? Is it due to the car getting fixed for damages that occurred in transit?
The initial delay (Sep-Oct) they're saying was due to "transport delays" from Sydney.

The current delay (last few weeks and now) is waiting for a replacement tail light that they recently discovered was cracked.

I've jokingly said that if I just ordered another car now, with delivery estimate of Feb I'll probably get that one first. Joking, but as the days tick closer...
