No, that's not typically how things work. We aren't talking about a 1k price drop, this is $5k for a package that is now 100% free. Not to mention that we still haven't received the full package (spoiler still has no ETA).Am I the only one that's surprised at the amount of people who believe they are entitled to a refund. I mean I buy lots of stuff first and pay a premium to have it first. This is just how things work. When Tesla reduced the price right after I bought mine. I didn't come online and cry foul. Neither did any of the other owners. Suck it up!View attachment 351440
I was first told over the phone that I would be eligible for a refund and that id receive email from them in a week. After two weeks I sent in my own email asking about it. They responded a few days later telling me to enjoy my free supercharging... I've since filed complaints with the BBB and FTC. Waiting to hear back on those now but not holding my breath Tesla will do what Elon promised.Per Tesla rep on the phone, they have no info aside from Elon's tweet. Added to the callback list. As noted previously I do hope they offer other assistance such as credits or other free stuff to give us more options and reduce their cash outlay. I've already spent 8k with them post delivery so getting 5k back would be pretty great.

Cars aren't phones, and especially Teslas aren't. We are not talking about buying a car late in the model year and then being surprised that the next year's model has new features. This is a brand new vehicle. How do they work then. I purchased a Samsung phone a few months back. The carrier now offers a free case with the phone along with 20% off the price. Do you feel as if I am now entitled to the additional features along with a discount. And let's not forget that there is no 2 year wait list for these vehicles. Some individuals who bought the 3P Had their vehicles delivered in only a few months from order and some less than that. So the argument that individuals waited years for their vehicle isn't valid.
It depends on how and where you purchased your phone. If you buy a phone at Best Buy you get a 30day money back guarantee. If the price changes substantially in that 30 days you can get a refund for the difference. Or you can return the phone for a full refund and repurchase it at the cheaper price. If you buy from Costco that guarantee is extended to 90 days. Some credit cards also offer price match guarantees when a retailer does not. The standard is typically 30 days though with up to 90 days on larger purchases. In fact the only industry that doesn't have a 30day guarantee is car sales. Some states have a Buyers Remorse law requiring dealers to accept a car return no later than two days after purchase. Given Tesla's direct to market, fixed pricing model, I find this particularly outdated. Especially since they are so bad at keeping prices stable. Even with that is still arguable that they can reasonably modify the price so substantially. The bigger problem with the P3D folks is that Elon promised refunds to buyers via Twitter and Tesla is not honoring that promise for many. Some people took delivery of their cars based on the promise of the refund instead of changing their order and waiting. How do they work then. I purchased a Samsung phone a few months back. You can never be upset about any consumer issue if an agreement was met? K.Tesla doesn't have this policy. You made an agreement. The agreement was fulfilled. Move on.
Similarly Teala originally announced and advertised Track Mode as a P3D feature not a PUP exclusive. I bought my P3D w/o PUP with the express understanding that I would be receiving TM. In fact I even had the Delivery Specialist confirm as much when I ordered. I neither have TM or a refund as was promised. All P3D contracts are null and void as far as I'm concerned. You can never be upset about any consumer issue if an agreement was met? K.
How about this. I purchased the PUP package and paid the $5k. My spoiler and badge were never delivered. Tesla has not met their end of the agreement. Now, new buyers are getting that whole package for free and presumably will get their spoilers/badges before we do. PUP buyers have been very forgiving in that area. If BMW had done that I'd have my foot so far up the dealer's arse that he could taste my shoe. If you want to be technical, my purchase contract is void from my POV.

Elon did state that they would offer some kind of package to allow track mode on P3D- cars.To get Track Mode I've ordered another P3D and will be trading in my P3D- , I'm very interested what they offer.
Waiting for a call back from Showroom manager. Will LYK
Tesla Model 3 Performance to get new "track mode"I have never seen that. Where is that advertising?
