My AWD was built in June and I have codec H265. I didn’t order FSD. I do not think Elon knows everything happening in the production line. He perhaps assumed his company did follow what he tweeted months ago. It makes no sense to use different codec with the same HW/SW.

It's still available in NA (perhaps n/a in other parts of the world). It's just that it will take significantly longer. They don't make this config regularly, but in batches.

Just know that if you call to order LR RWD, it will be a very long wait before you get a VIN. AWD is not useful to me and SR+ is too little range. I think the best config for someone who doesn't crave for speed is LR RWD.
