Yes, they are about 1.5 inches long (see picture). I assume they need to remove the MCU in order to do UV screen treatment then ? Am I going to have rattles with a poorly mounted MCU now ?

I had my MS in for service last month for a headlight replacement and UV treatment on MCU 1 screen. When I picked up my vehicle, there were two long screws in the cup holder. I think they have something to do with mounting or adjusting the UV lamp fixture and were simply forgotten by the tech.

How do you tell which version of Navigation maps are currently running on your car ?

Yes I don’t know what it is with overpasses but I’ve seen this often. I have seen severe events of braking with earlier versions on the model S. It’s not clear why the NN has problems with overpasses

It varies but when I saw this it was at the point where I should have stopped. It wa similar to AEB alerting and I’m not convinced the signs were the cause, but it seemed like it at the time.

When driving manually I’ve noticed collision alert audio tones when approaching sop signs a bit too fast or when rolling through stop signs with recent software update. It appears that the software is either reading the stop signs or reacting to the intersection through some sensor or data source.

OP, I have had the same issue three times over the past month. AP 2.0. MCU reboot fixed for me. Sounds like there needs to be a patch to the software.

Your idea to allow the owner to configure whether the charging cable locks is a good one. I would suggest that the feature be GPS-based so that one could add locations where you would prefer to override locking, such as when charging at the home base.

I am considering adding a Model X to our family but I won’t make a decision until this onboard charger upgrade is either resolved or answered with an appropriate technical explanation.

You are getting a different answer than me. I can only speculate but maybe my hi voltage junction box,or cooling system, is not rated to support 72 A charging. It would be very helpful to charge an empty battery pack in 6 hours vs 9. At least to have the option.
