I work for big tech. This likely isn't a cancellation, but a 1 year pause. Most big tech companies either didn't do bonuses or salary increases this past year. The reality is that for most Tesla employees this would be a ~5-20k hit a year since the stock vests over 4 years.

Does anyone else keep detailed metrics? As of now, I had a 16.2% ROI on the money invested selling puts and covered calls. Of that, 12% came from puts, and 4% from CC. How did everyone else do for the year? Not terrible, but not great.

Rolled 12/1 240 CC to 12/15 250 CC for a nice credit. Was holding on as long as possible, but 🤷‍♂️ can't wait forever and now at least I have exceeded my cost basis on the shares.

Quick update for everyone... My 255NOV17 CSP were assigned at 0400 on 11/1. They were just too DITM with little time value left. There was also no real good rolls available so I just let them go. The cost basis on the shares is $220.80. Now that we have peaked for the day, STO 235NOV10 CC on...

Last Friday I had to roll my 10/13 260 CSP to 10/20 255 CSP for a sizeable credit. I normally do not like going into earnings holding a position, but I dont have a choice right now. Depending on the runup to Weds, I might try to buy these back early.

Agree. When is the last time Tesla launched a product with the lowest trim level first? Hint: Never. They always release the highest end trim first since it helps keep margins up while depreciating a *sugar* ton of expenditures for new equipment lines.

RSU's dont work like that. They usually vest over 4 years, so unless people have been holding their stock for 4 years, its paper money until their shares vest.
