Given their other cycles, without major issues reported, I would say around 1 month after the beta starts.
Q: Powerwall, can you combine both types of Powerwalls in a single installation and how would that work.
Elon: Combining wouldn't be super great. Software doesn't handle combining them. Actually Elon isn't sure about the answer, wants JB to help him. Personally, I don't think he does know what he's talking about.

JB: Backup battery can cycle once a week or more. Thousands of time. So it can be used for more than just backup, sometimes.

Thank you Elon and JB on the powerpacks... We had all said this and no one else has caught on or seemed to appreciate that if you remove the renewable factor the batteries still make sense. Elon said they could turn off around half of the worlds power plants by rolling out batteries.
Anybody else's feed freeze up. Maybe it's airport wifi. Now getting error message, ugh. Keep the reporting coming!

Oh yeah and that's a great segway to where that discussion was happening here! my point was I'm glad that we here on the forums aren't the only ones who gets the full potential and that Elon and JB have thought of it too because it hadn't been stated by them previously.

I want to use the car as a car sharing service. Will autopilot will be good enough for random people to drive from LA to Vegas? Are you going to sensing other cars on the road. Will any of it be open source?
A: Someone always needs to pay attention to the road and can take over whenever needed. Can't turn on autopilot and go to sleep. Several years from now, will have redundant sensors and true autopilot. But that is extremely difficult engineering project. Would want autopilot to be 10x better than a person before true autonomous driving. V1 of the system won't be that. Vehicle to vehicle communication will be used for traffic speeds to help navigation. Not much more than that since number of Model S on road is tiny in comparison. Software won't be open sourced because of vulnerability concerns.
