A taster of visualisations to come - just not yet
So far I've tried 4 carparks, and smart summon hasn't worked in any of them yet. Going to try another in a bit.
I have tried a couple, including one confirmed in OpenStreetMap... I don’t think it’s properly activated yet.
Well, I guess time will tell.
In other, less useful news, according to Teslafi, I was the 3rd Teslafi user to get this update Let's hope that trend continues!!!
Are there any sites reporting who gets what yet for MCU1/2 AP2/2.5/3, S/3/X, usually it takes lots of people posting release notes for their car?
I’ve got it installing too. M3 LR, AP3 and FSD.
A few voice commands you can try:
“Show me tire pressures”
“Open the HVAC controls”
“Show seat heaters”
“Open display settings”
“Open energy graph”
“Zoom in/out on the map”
“Set wipers to auto /1/2/3”
“Show the odometer”
“Turn on rear defroster”
“Turn on windshield defroster”
“Adjust steering wheel”
“Open phone app”
“Show text messages”
"Open rear camera"
"Close rear camera"
Just got it here as well, I'd guess it is on a fairly general release by now.
I'm also in the UK and have the same issue with Smart Summon! It doesn't make it clear if it means it can't be used in the current location, or current country as a whole. I believe the firmware we get is EU-wide not UK specific!
That said, I've not tried a car park that's labeled correctly on Open Street Map as someone mentioned previously. I'll try it out tomorrow maybe!
If you figure anything out yourself, please let me know!
Nice Christmas present from Elon with this update, the car just gets better and better. Voice commands work well. Haven't tried visualisations yet.
I’ve got a feeling the texting won’t work with iPhones. They stopped blue tooth notifications with cars about a year ago to avoid distractions.
Just need to enable it in the cars Bluetooth first, then you can enable notifications in the iPhone’s Bluetooth too
Separate Game updates. New feature.
I have problems too. After installation I don't see any lines on the street anymore, nor do I see any other cars on the screen anymore. Someone else have these issues?
Do a full reboot - both buttons and brake pedal until screen reboots and T reappears.
I do this as matter of routine after install - I don’t care if Tesla do it on install but only time I had major issues after install I hadn’t done that.
Doesn’t recognise U.K. traffics lights or road signs/markings.
The new visualisations are US only, nowhere else yet, not even Canada.
Tesla support told me it is a good idea to do this after every software update. Seems sensible to me.
- move air up/down
- turn on lights (dome lights)
- zoom in map
- Speed up wipers
- check for updates
- I’m cold
- I’m hot
- enable sentry mode
- turn on rear seat heaters
all reported to work
A few folks on twitter stating that they had no update on their S, then a soft car reboot got them the update instantly. Separate sources.
Worth a shot if any still waiting...
