My biggest curiosity is if the MY will be getting the refresh the M3 is getting.

Not as far as we know. But it would be nice if we do, especially the double paned glass!

Q4 is usually the lowest sales quarter for the Auto industry for a wide range of reasons. Releasing "All-New" and "New Model Year" vehicles during these months help them boost sales. Just marketing

I'm pretty sure it is Q1 that is usually the lowest.

I just got my MVPA today and it says model year 2021 with a VIN in the 6xxxx range. Pick it up 10/24 & will report back.

I will post an update, but I would be VERY surprised if any of the reported M3 updates make it into the MY this soon. Certainly not holding my breath.

Agreed, I think we'll see these changes in the Y in the spring.

I’d expect Tesla to drop-feed changes into the car as they have them ready, like they’ve always done.

I used to work in the auto business and Q1 is always strong because of company bonuses, early anticipation of tax refunds, job changes, and other needs like that. Q3 was the traditional softest quarter.

But this year is shaping up to be a unique experience all around for everyone.

Weird, Tesla sales and market quarter by quarter charts disagree. I can't remember the last time Tesla had a quarter over quarter increase in q1.

I was speaking more about the traditional auto market, not specifically Tesla. Its pretty clear they are blowing all the traditional models up. A lot of that is driven by tax incentives too.

I was too. Auto Industry Sales Report | USA | Car Sales Data by Quarter - It seems like there is a little drop from Q4 -> Q1 in most years.

My vin just showed up today, 636xx with the M in the model year spot for 2021.

Red LR AWD, no other options. Delivery in MN.

I can update the thread after delivery if there are any changes from the 2020s I've looked at. Not sure exactly when delivery will be at this point.
