Wow, I am also in San Diego, ordered the exact same config on 9/13. Hope I’m only 3 days away from a VIN. What was your EDD window before?
EDD was 01/21-02/18 then earlier today I checked 1/29-02/26. This afternoon I got a text saying to accept delivery.
If you really want it now, My advise is to go to your pick up location and ask nicely if you can get to internal priority list. That’s what I did last Tuesday and today got a VIN. Somebody in front of me canceled their order and I got it.

Good idea. My only hesitation with doing that is potentially getting a rejected delivery that still has the Intel CPU and old 12v battery. I’ll just wait my turn for a new one from the factory.

wo, how does that happen?! kind of stressful, in a good way but bad way also! good luck!! I decided to buy all my accessories after delivery. But payment stuff takes a few days I'm sure and likely not on a Sunday for a wire or getting a certified check. Insurance is easy just by a phone call with most insurances I think. Original EDD 12/11-12/31, got pushed to 1/6-2/3 in December.
1/7 updated to 1/11-2/8.
1/12 updated to 1/18-2/1.
1/19 updated to 1/21-2/1.
1/23 (today) updated to 1/26-2/23.
I thought I was getting close. But now I'm back to a one month EDD again. :/
Original EDD 12/11-12/31, got pushed to 1/6-2/3 in December.

I live in Bay Area, 5 miles from Tesla factory. So they figured car is ready , let’s just drop it to customer home

Man they are working 7 days a week there! Wow!! Anyhow, talk about fresh!!! Its like getting a hot doughnut at Krispy Kreme!! (yum yum yum!!!) They should have a hot off the presses Telsa neon sign blinking every time a car comes off the assembly line and ready for delivery. (also yum yum yum!!I live in Bay Area, 5 miles from Tesla factory. o.m.g. I'm playing tag with Tesla Plaid payment thing here... just trying to set up link with my bank. They want to verify by sending a code to my email. But there's at least a 5 minute lag for some reason. I put in code but then they say put in security code--guessing took too long so want to send me a new code, kind of going in circles!!

Man, that is brutal. My EDD did nothing but get narrower and my scheduled delivery date is right within the original EDD Tesla gave me.
