With "Dashboard for Tesla" showing the battery discharging at 330 kW for my car, I don't think I can claim that higher horsepower rating from Wikipedia (386kW/518HP). Maybe the newer 75Ds produce that with their newer drive units?

Tracker updated with my information. Dallas SC just confirmed MS 75D VIN 147xxx July 2016 build is eligible!!! Uncorking scheduled for Oct 27.

Uncorked is 330s I believe. Corked is 270-280kw.

Took my car in to get it uncorked. Got the new firmware (42 a88c8d5), ran a few test at 90% SoC. I'm getting 5~5.1 sec 0-60. it's definitely not faster. Is there a number I can call to verify the uncork has been done? it is a 75D that was manufactured in Dec 16. VIN 171xxx

what i meant is some 2017's from the same month are eligible and some are not...like they use diff parts one day and then something diff the next day or week..its wierd.

Had my wife's S uncorked today and had a chance to collect the 0-60 this evening. Same stretch of road as the runs from my S.
Here's the results.

I have to note that the conditions were poor, light rain and slick payment, there was a little wheel slip, so I figure the runs would be 4.0 if it weren't for the conditions. Also, charge was not 100%.

I still believe my wife's S feels faster, it always has... I'll try to collect it again when it's dry, maybe tomorrow night.

Dec 16 build 171xxx, just picked up my car tonight after "75d Firmware Update to Increase Performance", which is what Tesla Center was calling it. Definitely feels faster, close to the 100d loaner. Didn't have time tonight to do a 0-60 run, but Powertools confirmed my peak power at 329kw, didn't check previously, but uncorked peak is supposed to be about 280kw.

We need option codes. A vin tells you very little from past experience, like the small batch of 85 batteries in the 75 for a while. Ideally we need codes of cars that can and can’t be uncorked, and cars before and after uncorking.

I just called my service center and they confirmed my July '16 VIN 151xxx is uncorkable. Mine was delivered as a 60D and then I upgraded it later to a 75D.

Dang, they are going way back with this uncorking. Interesting stuff.
