Most likely you will have almost paid double, have equivalent performance, and will have questionable warranty coverage.

Are you talking about the 50 boost from Ingenext? You can only upgrade to a Performance if you have a 980 motor. Otherwise you're SOL. But if you decide to pay for the 50 boost then later you want the Ghost upgrade and you have a 980, maybe you'll get a discount or maybe you won't - You'd have to talk with them about it.

Got baited by seen an 80 on my rear motor and bought ghost module, jokes on me I’ve got a 780 not a 980. Ingenext guys where very helpful and updated remotely my module to boost50

780 is the “new” rear motor as in number went a whole number up and got to 1780 or something like that don’t quote me. And has the same issue as 990 can’t get to performance lvl. I have a 3,8 0-60 99SoC and heated battery temp. 980 can get to 3,2 0-60

Yeah we know what it does. It's just in actual testing, results vary as stated clearly on their website. 3.1 is better than some people with M3Ps actually get when they test their cars. Obviously, there are several factors that play into the results. For 2k, if you're willing to put up with the possible warranty / update hassle, it's not that bad looking at the pricing again. I assumed (wrongly) it was more than 2k.

My guess is that it’s a cheaper car overall based on Drew Baglino’s comments and the fact that Tesla is under big margin pressure, with different bumpers and lights.
