Aero wheel cap kit question

For those of you who have purchased the aero wheel kit, is the center cap the same as the one on the original aero wheel? If so, is it possible to just take it off of the actual aero wheel and just slap on a few black plastic lug nut covers? I’m not sure I’m patient enough to wait months for a kit.

No, the center cap on the aero wheel is not removable.

Maybe I was lucky but I ordered it last Monday and received it last Friday. I'm in Canada but this was shipped from San Jose so maybe you can receive it sooner.

Looks nice when installed. If I ever need to remove the center caps without taking off the wheels, it will be tricky.

Use a suction cup, or make a ball from duct tape and you should be able to take out the center cap.

I ordered last week and got it within 5 days. The inventory backlog seems to be over.

Just the center cap. Lugs can stay.

I would cancel and get another one. There are a bunch of them on Amazon and other vendors will ship them faster than one from China.

You can just pop the cap out with a screwdriver or some other flat blade. It's not tricky at all.
