And that video right there is the reason I’ll never run spacers. Thx for posting.
I think getting offset wheels is only slightly better though, no spacer to worry about but the save changes to your suspension, the proper way to make the vehicle wider is allot of new suspension parts. I think this likely matters allot more when your spacing out several inches than a couple mm as well. I have very offset wheels on my RzR when defiantly affects the scrub radius, but out in the sand I'm not as concerned with this, it's easily worth the extra stability, I have had it up on two wheels before, which could likely result in a roll over without the offset.

I'm going to be getting some offset wheels, since they are .5" wider I'm also changing the offset by 5mm. I doubt this will be enough change to matter much, but I guess I'm going to find out.

haha yeah, i've had 9 different MR2s in the past.

i am lowered on 2.1" drop UP Low Springs.

i am Tesla DIY on yt

With the 20/25 spacer setup are you having any rubbing issues? I plan on using the same wheels with the moderate springs.

Also for the record I have been using spacers for years on many of my cars. My Delta Integrale Evo 2 has 15mm all around, my Lancer Evo 6 has 25mm all around, and my Lotus Exige had 15mm as well. All were hubcentic of course, and I drove them hard. No different really than having a wheel with a lower offset, just don't go cheap and get a substandard set of spacers.

Not light! Depending on the wheel, but the most reasonable forged wheels (VS) are probably about 22 lbs front, 23 lbs rear, with a 24 lbs front tire (Tesla specific 235/35-20 Pilot Sport 4S), and another Tesla specific 275/30-20 rear version 4S coming in at 28 lbs. Not sure what the stock 18s weight but you are going to pick up at least ~ 5 lbs a corner. And then there is the cost! $2600 for the wheels, another $1400 for the tires. But for that $4k, you will have a way better package than the stock Tesla 20s, which they are charging $5k for.View attachment 387660

But the handling and braking will be in another universe from the stock MXMs. And the car just looks so much better.

I believe you mentioned before that you used a set of dorman lug nuts with the vorsteiners. Could you confirm what size you used? I know M14x1.5, but I guess i'm curious the length and I guess they are 21mm hex? Thanks.

I had my wheels installed today. 305forged performance wheels in 20x9 with a 32 offset. They come out 14.4 mm more than stock. Honestly, I wouldn’t go further out than this. They weigh about 23.5 - 24 lbs. That’s about right compared to other flow forged rims. I’m running the General G-Max AS-05 in 245/35/20, 23 lbs in that size. Here are some pictures.

Are you coming from the stock Aeros or the 19s? Did you use the stock lugs or did you buy new black ones?

Yes. Just keep the overall tire diameter as close to stock as possible.
I recently put 255/40/19 on the stock sport wheels and although they are 27” dia. vs. 26.4” I really like them a lot and have only lost about 5% on efficiency, clearance is not a problem on height, Speedo matches my gps phone app at 80mph, they are more comfortable as I went from 3.7” to 4” on sidewall height for the rubber, they are the conti extereme contact dws06 and are 24.8 lbs. so not much heavier than stock and a huge, huge difference in handling
