Do you think it depends on VIN numbers?
it seems like they are doing VIN batches for the Model 3 at least. (Other than a few high profile twitter personalities with higher VINs, that is.)

Yes, if you order with or without FSD unless you very unlikely get matched to a very old inventory car.Are you guaranteed to get HW3 in Europe if you order FSD with the car before production?

Low batch numbers in California... surprised you’re not updated yet. One of first m3LR in WA here, though no joy yet...it seems like they are doing VIN batches for the Model 3 at least. (Other than a few high profile twitter personalities with higher VINs, that is.)
Did they contact you or just silently cancelled ? Mine got silently cancelled.
Ofcourse we don't know whether they are prioritizing by when we bought the car (i.e. VIN sequentially) or when we bought FSD. I bought during the '19 March sale, not when I got the car in May '18.They texted me and explained it was based off VIN. The wait continues...........

Yes, purely by VIN & geography is what I'd expect.I think we do know given all the VINs have been very low and seemingly without regard to when FSD was purchased.
(to be honest as crap as Teslas internal systems have been I'd be surprised if it'd even be able to sort on a second criteria beyond VIN)
What I am interested in is hearing a Model S/X with MCU1 being upgraded to HW3 AP. This means a car build prior to March 2018. Mine was mid-Feb, just before the cutoff.
MCU version is not supposed to be related to the upgrade of the separate AP computer, but I have not heard of anyone with MCU1 being upgraded to HW3. I would love to hear that this has been done successfully and how well the results worked.
As mentioned in this very thread about 10 days ago.... Greentheonly upgraded his own MCU1 car with HW3 and everything worked perfectly.
I'm unsure if Tesla themselves have done any such- but (unlike HW3 in AP2.0 cars) this combo works fine.
Not my point.

Let me know how it goes... I had appt in Dec and pushed back to Jan then now pushed again to Feb 2020 since they don't have the part yet. Located in socal a and schedule at the Burbank SC. Purchase 4/18 Vin 14xxx and purchase fsd before it increase 1k so probably last month.
Brought my model S in last week, was told model 3 was in ready as well. Burbank just started doing themDid you just get an email to come in or did you contact Tesla and ask for the upgrade?
