But phone-based unlock for the 3 uses Bluetooth - Tesla's servers aren't involved. Are you saying it doesn't work if the user's logged out of the app and the servers are not letting the user back in, or is this just speculation?

Yes. Anytime you are logged out of the app, the Model 3 will not open or start.

If you are logged into the app, even if the server is down or you have no cell or wifi, the Model 3 opens/starts fine.

I lied... Just dropped again, but seems to be getting better with their API errors and less outage time between communication with API messages.

This is embarrassing and appears to be snowballing — mildly scary, too. No official word, as time goes by, feels like no adults have a grasp on the situation.

Online but something going on with the summons, the interface is different meaning there is no “stop” button and you have to hold reverse or forward - would have been helpful to know this change to software - definitely need to work communications
