Some info for Arizona people.
Financing - was told by my DS that Tesla doesn't provide financing in AZ, but the Tesla website sent me the names of both BofA and Wells Fargo. Went through the process with Wells Fargo and was told that the max I could finance was $64K at a 4.99% rate for 60 months. My credit is not an issue. I read on the forums that PenFed credit Union was giving 1.5% for up to $70K so I went through the process with them. I was approved fairly easily, but had to call them 3-4 times to get an update. Even though I am approved, they will not fund the loan unless the MVPA shows only $70K due. This is kind of an issue which means that you have to wire the difference between the purchase price and the $70K to Tesla for them to issue a MVPA with only $70K due. This seemed like a major hassle for me and I didn't want it to delay my delivery so I said forget it to the financing and decided to just pay cash.
AZ Delivery - Apparently AZ is one of four states with some weird restrictive laws that doesn't allow Tesla to sell directly to customers here. As a result, unlike other deliveries that you may have read about on this board, there can be no Delivery Specialist that can accompany the vehicle here. It is simply put on a carrier with a driver and dropped off at your place. When I asked how I can get the training that others have gotten when they received their vehicles, I was told that either they can do the training over the phone or maybe a video. This is sub-optimal for me, so I had a trip planned to the SF area on business and asked if I can do the factory tour and training there (albeit not necessarily on my car). Tesla said this would be fine and I'm doing this on Monday.
I still haven't received my final MVPA yet, but it should be coming soon. Don't know exactly when the car will be delivered, but my window is 12-9/12-23. Hope this info helps other AZ Tesla customers.
