August/September VIN Notifications and Deliveries

It drives me batty that there's no prioritization to be found. Some people that order later get vins/cars before those that ordered earlier! Others not. And if I ask my SA how its coming, if I will be getting vin soon, they act like I'm crazy for being impatient. How to explain that the seeming lack of rhyme/reason for vin/car makes me feel even more out of control and frantic!

I recognize that my lack of patience may not lend to purchasing a car like this again! :) and that waiting may pay off (rear light changes, etc.) But I can't help it!!!
I hear you and i am in the same boat. Waiting since July 28th. I have seen ppl getting who ordered after me here in NJ. I have stopped looking at the speedsheet, which drives me crazy.

guess i'm one of those. early august. got the notice/mvpa last week. But I can't pick up for another week and the odd thing is we were seeing 4xxx Vins well before now and I've got a 36xxx. Just hoping it's a good one. But I can't pick up until another week. But I assume configuration has something to do with it. Maybe the SC? I'm red/black,20", no FSD, hitch ordered at the showroom in Lawrence. Another odd thing is the mvpa indicates the seller is Cherry HIll. So maybe they're busy fixing all the problems.

I notice a lot of ppl here not ordering FSD, any particular reason?
I learned my lesson last time around that you buy a Tesla based on what it can do today, not what is promised or what it might do in the future. Even with a Performance on order, it's a huge piece of the total vehicle cost. I'm sure it is worth it to some, but as the features stand today FSD isn't worth $8k to me.

Does anyone else see this same blank under Estimated Delivery? I'm hoping my SA didn't screw it up!

I’m inclined to think that those two are the same thing. On my portal page, I too have the “Lending Agreement”. Inside it I found information about the Vehicle like the VIN# and the Loan information, Taxes, Trade in info (if you have one), etc... Pretty much the Motor Vehicle Purchase Agreement.

Can someone confirm that "lending agreement" and MVPA are two names for the same thing (does anyone have both?)

I have the former, with a VIN inside, and a delivery date, but no MVPA.

I'd say they are not the same but contain some of the same elements. I'm not taking a loan, so no lending agreement which I assume has interest, payments and stuff like that.

My MVPA has a couple of cost sections. One is the charges broken down with LR, color, hitch, Tesla charges, etc. The other cost section has the total of the first and adds in stuff like sales tax, trade-in, registration fees, etc & one line for Finance Amount.

The rest is boilerplate on terms, arbitration and stuff like that. I've uploaded that second page (redacted of course) from mine.

Sweet!!! Thanks for the update.... Mines was Built 8/22 so I should get the new tailights
East Coast-MD
VIN: 378**(MVPA Same Day)
Delivery: 9/7

2 calls today....

-11:07am: One Call from Customer Service Manager(Answer for Transferring My Personalized Plates since I'm selling my other vehicle back to the dealer separately) which was handled quickly. Asked where my Y was, she advised it in Chicago Estimated Date of arrival to SC is 9/3. Delivery Specialist would be calling soon.

-6:30pm (2nd Call): Delivery Specialist advised my Y coming in Early than expected. (Originally Expected Delivery for 9/7) but asked if I could Take Delivery 9/4!! So...Friday's the date!

In addition the Customer Service Manager stated they are pushing Deliveries to Customers as fast as the vehicle arrives to SC.

Thanks. Looks like an invoice. Some similar detail. Wonder if I'll get an MVPA too.

I'm happy to say I picked up VIN 415xx in Portland today and it was perfect!!! It's got the new tail lights and door buttons. The only issue is a scuff on the hitch cover. I'm in love!!! Be patient, this car is worth the wait!

Personally, I don't think FSD is worth it. It's awesome that autopilot is free now, and that's as much as 90% of people will use regularly.

The main feature isn't even functional yet. Then is subject to regulatory approval. May never be fully functional as long as you own the car.

The convenience features are novelty items in my view. On my last Model S, I had summon, auto park and navigate on autopilot. Barely used them. Again, novelty "cool factor" things in my view. Plus, the car drives amazing. I like driving. Other than when I want to use a phone (I know), then I flip to autopilot.

My view: Save the money until it's fully approved in your state. Invest the money in Tesla stock until then. If you still want it then, get it. Everyone wins.

So much this! I'm sure I'll feel fine when I get the car but it sure as hell sucks right now watching people who ordered a month later take delivery.

Model Y LR AWD White, No FSD, Gemini wheels, White Interior.
Ordered: 8/8

Got my 2-5 week text message Wednesday of last week.

Still waiting on a VIN and a delivery date. =[

Got a surprise call last week to tell me that my car arrived early. Picked it up on Saturday. Went through the checklist during delivery and found very little, if any, fit and finish issues. Could someone more detailed than me have found something? Probably. But, everything works and there were no obvious panel gaps, paint issues, scratches, dirt, grime, or anything. Very happy, and loving the car so far.

EDIT: VIN is 35xxx, early August build date.

THEN I WOKE UP. LOL :eek:o_O I'm still dreaming like everyone else waiting.

Still waiting and not even close and I feel the anxiety and frustration. Hope 3-5 weeks stays true.

Congrats to everyone getting their MY's with a passing inspection. It is truly a great sign of improvement.
