Because it’s a fair call? People are selling purely to make a profit due to low volume
So what. They‘ve paid there money and if they want to sell for what ever reason they are entitled to. Who knows some may have fallen on hard times since they ordered and see an opportunity to get out from under. It’s called free market and if someone is prepared to pay rather than wait then it’s a win win all around.
Mind I think its a bad plan! It’s a very long wait to replace it.
Tell you what is much worse, it’s the people who resurrect flood damaged cars and then sell them on for a huge profit. Now they are cockroaches!

This is just the market, demand is higher than supply so prices go up.
Are people scalping? definitely... This isn't to say that some of these sales aren't genuine but there are definitely people ordering cars just to sell them.
As for Tesla, this isn't their problem, as long as they are selling cars they couldn't care less.
