Because everyone loves insurance chat.. I got quoted by Shannons this afternoon and they have come out on top. $1574 premium, $1300 excess, insured for 80k (might lower this to 75k). For comparison RAA were $1800 for premium and excess, valued at 69k.

I know insurance differs for everyone but I was very surprised at how competitive Shannons are, considering they were so expensive for my Audi!

I'm with them too. So far the most reasonable.

I installed the 'Tesla Order Info Extender' extension on Chrome and it helped here. Scroll down on your main account page once its installed and it shows the payments received and a bunch of other stuff, for me it showed the payments about 12 hours before I'd get the SMS to say one had been received.

When you login to the desktop site, just click the little information icon underneath the picture of the car. It’ll pop up with a box showing the different stages of the order process, when they’ve received your entire payment it’ll have a tick next to Payment.

Glad I found someone else who had to transfer funds manually (post people are doing through financiers). F'ng nerve wracking having to transfer $80K - almost tempted to go into a bank just so someone can hold my hand

I just noticed that the bank account number on the Final invoice is basically my order number without "RN". Wonder if I can get a custom account number like that if I contact citibank. Or if I have to be a multi million dollar company

I had the exact same feelings... in my Tesla account it shows the 2 transfers and a zero balance... I feel better now.
