This wait is driving me crazy. Order date 9/12. No contact from SA since the stock drafted email alerting us to the delays on the 19/5.

Ordering my car in December, I was sure I'd have it before my daughter would arrive having over 6 months for that to happen.

Well waters have broken, so now my new Tesla will need the car seat fitted for the first drive if it ever arrives.

Yeah us LR and P orders have been given the cold shoulder. I was so close to ordering a SR, but I had a bit of a windfall at work and got enough to jump to the LR.

If only I'd had stayed with the SR, I'd not have known about the no communication, long waits or the amount of forklifts that are produced and sent instead of Model 3's
Hang in there mate, looks like VINs for LR models are being assigned for orders 5 days ahead of yours so your wait is surely nearly over!

Serial numbers (the last digits in a VIN) are mostly allocated sequentially in manufacturing (lowest available number) But from an interview i saw with a Tesla engineer, inventory is built up at each of the the panel pressing, body welding and paint shop sections and that's where a VIN is assigned to the body. They don't run in parallel with the guts adding line at all.

The formatting of the invoice seems to add credence to this theory.
