I could probably start up a support group.Hi my name is Dronus and it's been two days since my last Ali express purchase
Ohh yes, i remember back when i was waiting for the BA2 to arrive in Melbourne, seems like weeks ago...It feels like buying a Tesla from AliExpress. Waiting months for the boat to arrive in Melbourne
Same, now that ive worked out tommorow is monday ill email them and ask for an update.Yeah I emailed mine back and told them to just pay it.
I expect once approval comes through to resume deliveries they'll be trying to get them out as soon as possible
I should probably look, my NL did all that. It wouldnt have been cheap. So who’s gonna be your insurer? I’ve found that my best options are RACV and AAMI. Everyone else wants like 4-5 grand a year![]()
Fantastic & potentially even a day earlier, 22/1 in Melbourne![]()
Last I checked the reported ETA was 23rd at 0400 local
Yes, first I thought the RACV quote was expensive. Later on I realised the excess was set to the minimum. Stupid me. When I matched the excess to AAMI’s it turned out to be a lot cheaper.I should probably look, my NL did all that. It wouldnt have been cheap.
For my ICE car which im going to have to insure myself as from Feb1 ill go with RAA - they seem pretty good. I looked at YOUI and Budget Direct as the car wont be doing many KM once i get the tesla, but a few things stood out...
Price.
Even with nominating the low KM with the others, RAA was still cheaper. You seems to favor a certain younger demographic.
Pay by the month.
RAA Let you pay by the month and cancel at any time with no penalty. I might sell the car so im better off paying monthly.
Grouped discounts
Ill still like roadside assistance for my other cars and RipCo shopping. Also get discounted EV charging at the EV chargers (which is most of them in SA)
Local People
Call centres are local SA, i try and support local business where possible (aside from my TWATSS activities)
Jesus, this is worryingMy EDD changed again.
Feb 6 pick up (cancelled)
Jan 18 to Feb 8 (old EDD)
Jan 20 to Feb 25 (new EDD)
Yeah they did the same to me, it’s that massive extension on the back end of the EDD I’m worried about. My EDD changed again.

My worry exactlyYeah they did the same to me, it’s that massive extension on the back end of the EDD I’m worried about.
This biggest worry is seeing how Tesla has no issue updating someone’s EDD last minute to extend the delivery window, the fact they are doing it this early means they must know it will blow outMy worry exactly
Mine is the exact same.My EDD changed again.

Oh and my pickup is Miranda like x-12'sMine is the exact same.
But my delivery was originally the 25th of jan
Everything I am seeing is telling me the delivery won’t be until the back end of the EDD now, which sucks because I have made arrangements to sell my current transport in Feb thinking my car will be here in mid Feb not late March.
