I am trying really really hard not to go into full Tesla fanboy mode.
It's so painful listening to Elon present. It almost seems like he's making it up as he goes.
Edit: right as I hit post he says "I don't know, we just kind of made up numbers and tossed them on there". So I guess he IS just making it up as he goes.

This presentation was great until Elon went into full hype mode.
So we have new Elon timelines: Level 3 Q2/2020 and regulatory approval end of 2020. Robotaxis by end of 2020 as well (nobody inside).
At least they are concrete timelines.
Yeah, it is hard to believe him, that’s the worst thing for me that has changed over time with Tesla.

These investors are idiots. If you develop a full self driving car where you have complete vertical integration you can make a ridiculous amount of money in so many different ways. Who cares about the logistics of robo taxis? The question is how you're going to make a full self driving car. I want more questions on that.

Yeah, I can kinda agree with that. The first part of the presentation that dealt with the AP3 computer and Neural Nets was super interesting but now, it's just Elon making his bold predictions of a wonderful new full self-driving world.
So far I've liked everything that wasn't coming out Elon's mouth.
I really appreciated the details of the HW3 hardware.
I wonder if next time we can have an Engineers day.
These investors aren't asking the right questions, and even when they do the mic is taken away before they can do a follow up.
Like the corner radar can absolutely provide redundancy, but that isn't stated.

Lidar and HD maps are doomed. Level 5 from Tesla end of 2019.
