I didn't reserve until 4/2/16, and configured on 6/27.

When I search that page encodedvin doesn't appear at all. Not blank, not filled, the word doesn't exist on the page.

3/31/16 online reservation, 6/26/18 order, exact same config as you, no forward movement on order since.

It sounds like they are prioritizing by reservation date despite the utter panic some day one reservations were having.

I reserved oct 26, 2016 and configured June 27, 2018 ASAP. No vin. Sep-Nov ETA.

wrong page guys. You have to go into the manage section and then do page source right click. Then just contol-F and type endodedvin

Taking view-source off your link got me to that confirm page others had gotten but not me, where it showed me price with taxes and such and edit button goes away

But when I closed that and when back to manage my reservation it was back to the "old" page with edit button still there

I think we are all trying to read way to much into everything, but it's hard not to after waiting for over 2 years. However...As a data point...

Res: 3/31/16 online prereveal (attempted to be #100,000 and was too close to tell on the counter)
Config: 6/27/18 8am AWD-non-P, Silver, Aero, No EAP
Sept-Nov Est Delivery (Never changed since config)
No Edit button since new web page with reconfirming details... No response after 6 days from emailing ISA (I was going to ask about white int. but have since decided I want black, and don't want to wait as my BMW I3 goes back 8/15/18)

All I know is this... When I first made my config, I immediately put in my profile info, but made a mistake...Since there is no way to edit it on the web page, I emailed Tesla to remove my wife as a 2nd registrant. An ISA emailed me back several days later. Reading his emails again, he ended one with "with your assigned Inside Sales Advisor" so perhaps I don't have one assigned to me yet.

They could greatly reduce their email traffic if they would just leave the edit button visible until a VIN is 100% assigned. No car they build today won't find an immediate home. There are only 35 possible configs today not including wheels and software which can be easily changed at the delivery center just like adding the Performance Pkg.

So strange. I use a Mac and don't know how to view source code on Safari and so I checked using Chrome by going to "Inspect." My delivery specialist sent me my VIN and arranged a delivery date. I was just checking to make sure the VIN numbers matched up. When I type in "encodedvin," a huge wall of yellow text is found. So strange...doesn't make me feel more at ease now.

EDIT: I found out how to find look at source in Safari. I have VIN="null" right before encodedvin. So weird...

7/31 I call Tesla and get a verbal VIN in 54,XXX's...

My account page still says Sept - Nov delivery... waiting for that to change (F5, F5 ,F5!) and a phone call from an ISA!

Update: received a call a few minutes ago. Delivery scheduled for 8/21, Tysons Corner. Also, my ISA said that the "contract hell" has been resolved and MVPAs are being generated without issue. Hopefully that doesn't change.

Weird. I reserved before you and configured same day. no encoded vin. East coast as well.

But Tesla is prioritizing based on reservation date.... NOT!!

I have not heard or seen anything since. No updated order page and no secret vin. I have seen people with later order dates with my exact configuration receiving vin and delivery schedule. I really wish Tesla was more transparent on status. It’s the unknown that is killing me. I could get a call tomorrow and have the car by the end of the weekend or it could be another two months.
